Dave,
In all the pictures I keep noticing those white, vertical streaks on the bottom of the rear quarter panel. What is that?

I hung it up at 2 AM this morning, got my hood and trunk lid re painted, it looks like I can work with the results this time.

Took a vacation day to see how far I can get on the car before tomorrow's show, I better get crackin.

Bingo.

It wipes right off with a damp rag but there's no sense in doing so until I put the buffer away, then I'll wash and wipe down the whole car. Until then I just keep the panel that I'm working on clean.

Dave,

Once again I'm truly impressed with your skills. I don't see any ripples or defects in that pic and I know what it takes to make it that perfect. All of the time you spent block sanding has paid off in spades.

Kudos and congratulations on a fine, fine muscle car.

I've been following this thread and enjoying it! You've done an awesome job on the runner and it is a real purty car! Congrats.

since randy hasn't been on this thread in a bit, I'll PM directions to Hacienda Ironbender and we'll road trip to FBX to get that guy.

Thanks for posting this up. I can honestly say that you are a true artist. Great job on the restoration. Simply amazing, I wish I had half your skill.

just a suggestion Dave, but you might want to post some pix of what the car looked like when you started this thread along with the now finished pix.

this thread is 102 pages long on my settings, and new folks might ooh and ahh over the finished product (who wouldn't?)

but the contrast of what you started with and what you ended up with are definitely eye openers.

did you log your hours? I'd be curious to know how many man hours you put into this project.
