Nice looking Mannlichers there

The rifle on top is a Brno 22F 8x57 with a Kahles 2-7-36.

Next is a MS 30-06 that I have shot some, made loads for and found it quite accurate.

Third is the 99F 358 Win. My main VT rifle.

Fourth is a MS full stock carbine in .358 Win.

Good for you, though I'm not sure I'd present that weapon on Western hunt, unless I was female. But back here, in the East, it would probably be popular with girls (anyway). I thin you could get top-dollar for that on Newbury Street, in Boston.

Huh, interesting.

I think the only way I would GAF about what my rifle looked like to others, is if I couldn't hike, shoot, or pack out meat.

Maybe I'm weird though.

Tanner (Dudette):

Yes, until you actually went or happen to go West and met a real person, then no?

Anyway, it doesn't matter.

I've had clients who've shown up with all sorts of things.

But, it's always the girls who brandish items such as the "Blue Beauty".

However, I once had a homosexual client from Out West who arrived with a blue rifle (no kidding).

Anyway .....

No kidding, huh? This dolt presents himself as some sort of man's man, but in reality he won't even admit he's so hard up for a woman's company that he advertises himself on Russian dating service websites. He ought to just man up and admit it and be done with it, then we could only bash him for being a douchenozzle.

I could tell you who I'd rather take on a hunt, between a guy with a blue McM stocked stainless rifle, and somebody sporting a camouflaged Bone Collector POS.

It wouldn't be hard to tell who could shoot, and who couldn't....

It wears the original Remington checkered synthetic stock with a homeade camo Krylon paint job. It wears a Leupold VX-2 3-9x40 with CDS dial. I've never had a deer (whitetail or mulie) or elk take even a step after they were shot with one of those 200 grain Hornadys.

A lot of darn nice looking remingtons out there.

Somewhat of an overkill though, wouldn't you say?

Nope, it kills them normal. I've never seen anything be to dead before. I also kill whitetails with a 350 rem mag, 300 WBY, and 358 Norma. Why pick on somebody's cartridge preference, they all work if you make sure of shot placement.

I'd prefer to not escort either, actually. Been there, done that.

But, Tanner Dudette "really takes the cake", so to speak. I mean, college kid? Come on.

I was tagging two mulies on the Uncompahgre and up along The Piceance, long before his parents even knew each other (literally).

Anyway, none of it matters, really.

Youngsters need to start somewhere.

I ordered one of those KS Edge stocks before Christmas based on your pics and glowing reviews. Should be here next week. SS Model Seven action is ready as well as the 25cal PacNor. Maybe, just maybe, I'll have it in time for deer season this fall.

Not a custom, but this 308 760 Carbine is about as perfect as it gets for most WT hunting I've done. It's soon going to be given to my younger brother who will use it with his son. It belonged to our grandfather, so it's position in our family is important.

More recently, I've been using this faux TI in 275 Roberts. Factory stock with a King bbl.

If you ever want to sell that pump-gun, Mr Piper PA-18, I'll pay a pretty good price for the combination, just to acquire the scope that's on top of it. I guess, start at $700.00 (USD) and see what happens?

That rifle would fit perfectly in a SC, scope and all. grin

That scope is an older Vari-X III. Nothing really that special actually. I see them go for about $300 - $350 here in Canada. perfect scope for a carbine.
