Man and just how I was imagining it to look too. Had Bret make me this 4" (closed) shadow pattern with carbon fiber scales and a drop point blade made from CPM-154. That is where Bret stands out.
Just looking at that backside and you really have to look hard to find the separation between liners and back spring.

That's a good question and I honestly don't know the answer as to how they (Westinghouse) made that micarta look that way. It actually has a interwoven look to it meaning depth unlike any other micarta I've ever seen. I believe it was Westinghouse that made it, but I'm not positive. Hasn't been made for awhile either.

Just got my Bret Dowell " RF Hunter " in carbon fiber today and wanted to post up a pic for you all. Blade steel is CPM-154 and features a tapered tang and thin red liners.
