Picked up a like new Sako 222 mag from my brother, he had two and had kept this one for his sons but neither one wanted it so lucky me. The rifle had less than 100 rounds through it before I picked it up. My brother lives in PA so we shot some woodchucks while there, all the rain made for late cutting but I still got several.

Went out this morning and shot some prairie dogs. Score my first double. Shot the entire morning from either sitting or standing in order to get some practice for this coming hunting season. The sticks sure worked great.

Nice little Sako.. Shooting chucks is almost as much fun as dogs.. My last hunts they were getting hard to locate, many of the old farms were growing up in weeds or brush.. Few chucks there..

My brother has lived in PA all his life and is a hard core hunter. We hunted our first PA farm and the owner directed us to second farm which he knew to have lots of big old hicks. My brother had hunted the farm in the past and the owner recognized him and allowed us on. it is always nice when the locals direct you to game.

Yes it is.. For several years during the summer, I had to spend in Pa. Shot hundreds of chucks.. But the last time I visited and hunted the old country, as I said, the fields were growing up, the old farmers were hanging it up.. Chucks like good grub, not weeds.. They were the beginning of our varmint hunting pastime.. Glad you had a good hunt..

Awesome pic, Huntsman! That coyote still looks mad. What ammo you got in that Ruger?

Atmospherical conditions today were quite conducive to major splat-factorability. The 5 day forecast has the same-o little rain cloud and temperature in the computer pic, every day this week. I'll be ongoingly conducting scientifical experimentalisms henceforth. 17 grainer V-Maxificatedly opened up a jack this morning much more than usual. And was a continuational phenomenom thru afternoon hours on the garden raiders. Most gratifying to see the laws of physics expounded upon in real life.....

Nice gut 'splode and flow.
You can't teach that.
It's a gift.
Not for the critters a course, they hate you.
Lead on.
