Sounds like a blast guys.

I probably shouldnt even ask but does anyone know if Bart shared his brisket recipe here like he did his chili?

I'm smoking one this week and am looking for a good recipe for it.

It's always neat to meet folks for the first time. Bart is exactly what I expected, which is a good thing. Roger surprised me. I always thought we'd get along, but he was one of the most soft spoken, gentle seeming folks I've met in a while.

Everyone was a hoot to be around and I wish I could've been there longer.

it was a great time....saw old friends like Pat, Doc, Mr. and Mrs. Okie, Bart.....and some new ones like Bluedreaux.

sorry I had to bail out early on Saturday...sounds like the birds were flying well.

the Frio is one pretty little river there, and the food was great as usual. thanks for including my cranky old ass.

Man I wish I could do one of these again...

My new business will afford me flexibility to get away in the wintertime (that is the plan) which maybe we can time one of these Texas shindigs so the ex-Texan can attend...

We definitely could have used your fishing skills in that clear river Greg. I'll never forget you and Pat catching those hybrid stripers at the 700 Springs Ranch. The ranch foreman/owner's son in law sure was tweaked when he saw that y'all caught all of his prized fishies... grin

Absolutely! There's always an awesome time to be had up there, it was a huge part of my bringing up. Not to mention, I've been pretty impressed with the campfire guys so far!
