By the way I hate it too!! If he knew any of our USMC history he would keep his asinine ideas in that vaulted echo chamber of a skull and shut his yap! If this change is made the quatrefoil on the top of officer covers is gone along with an historical aspect of the marine corps. I can't vouch for the army, USAF, or navy but we were taught a proud heritage of USMC history in basic training, and taught to respect and learn about those that came before us. This! The Commandant needs to tell him GFY!

Well strange as it might seem I did a little history check on older Marine dress head covers and the Marines have had dress head covers very similar to what is being proposed in the old past. The head cover that I thought was neat was the top hat cover with the side brim turned up.

Obama has never belonged to anything worth while in his whole life. He has no idea what tradition or history means and can't appreciate what it means to others.
