800 rounds and you won't be able to hit your azz with it! You can't stick that much powder into a case and blow it down the bore without throat erosion!! Get back to me when it 'goes' so I can say "I told ya so!" I'm kinda thinkin that anyone building a rifle like this does not really give a big rats azz if he has to re-barrel at 500 - 800 rounds. yup As useless as tits on a boar hog!! Don't be that jealous now. And a TRUE rifleman, would find use for it for sure. I know I could easily.

Go shoot it already. That first round is a life changer  It will not kick but the concussion is like a grenade just went off, really cool, you get used to it and will love it. Kind of like, it feels so good when you quit?

I have been down the road of a throat burner before and was frustrated by loosing a barrel at 800 rounds, not so much on the cost, just the pain of shipping, time away etc. Would melonite or similar salt bath help mitigate the erosion and extend the throat life?
