I think Grape Ape currently holds the title.

Will there be a bikini contest?

How about a hairy donut contest?

I don't know if I want all the hassle of flying with a firearm. Anybody got a gun I can use? grin

You can use one of my biceps, if you want.

I will be flying with firearms anyway, not that hard to pack another in my aluminum travel case. I was going to bring lever actions in 32 Special and 348WCF anyway, and you could sure use one or both of those with us trading off after one pig each or I would pack my 340 Tyranosaur or 416 Rigby. The Rigby is GORGEOUS, and I used it last year on one pig.

Here is the Rigby, it was the rifle I wrote about in African Hunter Magazine a few years ago, article entitled "how to make a CZ 550 into a World Class Dangerous Game Rifle" Upgrades include stock by Karnis including 'hidden and reccesed sling studs', Ed Lapour tuned action with his three position model 70 style safety, NECG singe stage trigger, Fully glass bedded, bolt handle re shaped, Weisner drop box 6 round capacity bottom metal (Not that our great POOBAH would ever miss and need all those rounds) and other upgrades that I am probably forgetting.

I would be absolutely honored if you used it, sir.

I have some 350gr TTSX loads for it that are not so bad on recoil and very effective on pigs and larger.

The 340 is more plain looking, but is a Magnum Mauser with a great aftermarket trigger. It is essentially a 340 WBY with a shorter more standard neck and shoulder to hold a little more powder. I loaned it to a friend from church this fall and he took a nice Bull Elk with it, liquifiying the heart in the process.

By then I SHOULD have (It is in the import paperwork logjam coming from oversea's) a BRNO model 21 in 30/06 and that one would be available for your use as well. I am hoping to get it here in time for an Ed LAPour safty to be installed on it as BRNO's come from momma with bass-ackwards safety's.

YOUR CHOCE my friend!

Mark

My go or no go is based on much the same kinds of issues.

I am thinking I will be able to make it, but have to let the month play out and see what sells of my toys and such.

Hope we both get to go, but I AIN'T drivin it ever again!

ingwe,

Strangely enough, I have a couple of Ruger #1's in 7X57 that you are welcome to use. Or you could use a couple of LH bolt action 7X57's.

I'm driving to the hunt so extra guns are not a problem.

I suspect a lot of us could find him a gun.

Just wanted to give him some options.

I was hoping he'd speak up and ask to use mine, before he realized it was a .270 grin

I like your thinking.

When do you think I should spring on him that my 7x57's have been necked down to 277?

Please do not mention this to him. It's just between us.

Steve
