Are you bringing your monster guns again? I think I was out fishing with my wife when you brought these out, but I would live to give them a go if you bring them and I get to come this year.
Interstingly enough, I find my 348WCF to be more uncomfortable to shoot than my 416 Rigby. Must have something to do with the narrow lever action buttstock and the steel buttplate. At least there isn't a scope aboard to cut peoples eye sockets and nose bridges with.
To avoid another "Scope eye 416" experience (anyone heard from him since last year?) I will use the quick detactch feature on my scope if anyone else wants to shoot that whom I am unsure about their ability to handle the gun.
I loaned out my 340 Tyrannosaur (essentially a 338 Lapua by another name in a lighter weight rifle) to two people this fall, both shot game with it but paid for the shot with a double cut of the eye socket and nose, each. I might need to keep my soon arriving BRNO 30/06 as just a 30/06 so as to have a loaner that is adequate and not injurious to folks I loan it to. Sure thing Mark, I can bring 'em, I have a lighter weight lever rifle with the steel butt also, it's chambered for the 50-110 WCF, loaded full throttle, the 525 gr. Cast Performance slugs at 2200 fps SUCK , someone really needs to go with Lt. Pat and shoot our dining piggy with my 577 Nitro, oh George? Gunner
