I am hoping that my son Stephen will be able to make the hunt in March as it depends on his college school schedule. I too am working on my schedule and it just keeps on getting tougher and tougher to schedule things. I hope I can make.

Well, I hope there's room for one more rookie. My wife has ordered me to go on this hunt. Now all I gotta do is pick a rifle. I guess it's time to start another, "7x57 vs. .275 Rigby" thread over in the Hunting Rifles forum. FC

Yes, as a first-timer last year I can assure you the Yak is something else, however, the "apple pie" made it all worthwhile.

There seems to be a constant problem of those who attend the Hog Hunt.
They have way too much fun.
This is unacceptable.
Anyone caught having too much fun(and there are a lot of you), will be required to return next year.

It's one of those things we can all aspire to, but never achieve.
But we can give it a good try at the Hog Hunt.

My father always accused me of having too much fun. Don't know if I ever did, but I sure tried... Poobah - for this loaner Ruger, you want a NECG peep sight, or a Loopie VX-3 1.5-5? (I already have the scope on a .45-70; thinking of putting the peep sight on the .30-40, but I could swap them)

Ive got so many good offers for loaners, its starting to go to my head!  I may have to ponder my options, and look condescendingly at all things 270ish... Dont mount anything on it until the Poobah has arrived at a decision�.
