I hopin someone will return the Model 70 to its legendary pre-64 status. As already stated quality over quantity/cheap price. I would be willing to spend alot more on a rifle if the quality of workmanship was evident. I don't think I'm alone. Sam

the browning belgium A5 spoke of Quality.(listening gun company bean counters?)

Smith & Wesson K38 Masterpiece Target in 38 SPL with that "old time" S&W quality and blueing Marlins in 25/20, 32/20, 32/40, 38/55. Marlin custo shop for octagon barrels, shotgun buttstocks etc..
