Ceracoated by Matt Yore at Sawtooth rifles in Colorado. While there, Matt disassembled, cleaned and polished to perfection, TOP NOTCH WORK! Painted stock with textured finsih for excellent grip and 14" LOP. Also comes with matching Weaver pivot rings that allow you to swing the scope to the left and use the iron sights, while returning to zero when flipped back over. Sling studs are on the way from Matt right now as well and will be included with the sale. Dropped $100 from the previous listing to $1400 shipped. Trades considered.

2 other Savages for sale

Why would a buyer be shunned?

"Why would a buyer be shunned?"

Because certain purist "collectors" here with a fetish for un-altered 99's, regardless of the practical benefits of the alteration, frown severely upon such alterations.

I get that. It still doesn't explain why the buyer would be shunned. Certainly the seller. But certainly not by me. This is a real beauty in it's own right and is certainly an original.

Popularity is for sheep and is over-rated. I'd rather be original with cool stuff.

If I'm Oregon's best, we're all in trouble! grin I do love my state, just not the politics.

I don't think that is factory original. It has no collector value! wink

Just an excellent, weather-resistant, hunting rifle with plenty of killin' power.

Well worth the price. If I didn't already have a comparable 99 I'd be all over this one.
