Check out Hilton Yam's machining he has had done on his Glocks. I know, I know, not your hero Bill Rogers. Bill Rodgers teaches steely-eyed killers (and kindergarten teachers) how to shoot, he ain't a gunsmith, but he is likely the greatest holster designer ever. He likes M&P's BTW.

I'm not wild about having to maintain tools, but understand that it is sometimes a necessary evil. But a pistol ought to be able to sit in a dry car trunk for ten days without this happening. ^this happened to a friends M&P in a short period of time as well.

I've shot on one of his ranges dozens of times, but Bill's never been there. I work with people who know him personally. Having designed the greatest test of pistol shooting on earth is a significant accomplishment in my mind, and as such, I hold the man in high esteem. He's a thinker and an innovator. Have you ever qualified on a Rodger's Range?

As I recently posted, I scored a glock 23 .40 recently for a decent price. Now I have it.... And... I'm finding it very hard to love. Do I need to shoot it to like it? I mean, is that where the magic is? I'm not feelin it. When or if you need it will work every time
A Doe walks out of the woods today and says, that is the last time I'm going to do that for Two Bucks.

Except for the 18th time I fired it and it stovepiped... but now I've got that out of the way so... Clean slate! Flawless from here forward!!

With you its always Bill Rogers says this or says that. You dont seem to know much of anything for yourself. And when quoting Bill Rogers (sometimes questionably), i have yet to see once where you linked to an actual quote, or had Bill Rogers drop by to say so for himself. Here at the Campfire we talk for ourselves. If Bill Rogers wants to drop in and make broad proclamations, then i'd much rather hear from him than you. If you're going to say things in the name of Bill Rogers, I'm betting he would prefer you just don't. At the very least look it up, quote it verbatim and provide the link. Otherwise, you just come off as another Lee24.

I jog your [bleep] senile memory, it twernt me, as they say it in Arkansas. GFY

TAK, do you know much about U.S. Military Sniper Rifles? The new ones? No. Im betting if he knows everything Google or Rogers tells him. TAK, you know some stuff, some stuff even well. Often you have some good info to offer, but then at times you just blurt out some crazy. You have something to offer here, but stick to what you directly know. When you don't directly know or have evidence to back you up, then state your opinion rather claiming something to be a fact when you can't back it up. Its teally just that easy. You have some good ideas and opinion; i've learned from you. Just ease up in the big ego and you're GTG.

The M&P's were 40 caliber. You are talking 2006 time frame? Smith and Wesson decided to offer a deal the department couldn't refuse, like free gunsmithing, parts, magazines, ect. They took our "Range Guys" and sent them to the Smith and Wesson shooting academy. They got a armorers school out of it as well as meeting Mr. Jerry Miculek. Overall they were not favored! The department was looking strongly at Glock but were beat out by the S&W "perks". They practically gave them to us for free from what I had been told?
