Chuck ... at the risk of getting too involved in something that is not my business ... I might suggest that you refrain from adding more to this thread until you cool down. It's obvious that you've boiled over, and I can't blame you. However, adding your very emotional comments about the situation is not helping anyone, including yourself.

This too shall pass brother ...

Take a deep breath, get the [bleep] thing fixed and carry on.

No big deal.................................

Rick wrote that the buck stopped with him, what more can he do to make you happy? What action is your McM inletted for? I probably have 100+/- stocks around and if I do have 1 that will fit your action size/style and barrel contour, I could send it to you to use until you and Rick sort out the problem.

Might should add, that despite aesthetics not being paramount in my book,I do remain a diehard gelcoat fan,for the obvious reasons.

It never don't work, though it's my understanding that Swirls and Such ain't an EDGE option.

Dat's too bad.......................

I'm thinkin' you've got every right to be pi$$ed. Am also thinkin' everybody's on your side and shares the frustration. At the end of it all, you're still holdin' a stock you ain't happy with and Rick will make it right. Send it back and get it fixed.

Chuck, if someone truly took ownership of the end-to-end process, this would not happen. Unfortunately, that's not the case. Rick has offered to make good, but I can relate to your three strikes and you're fired approach. I'd take this offline with either Rick or MCM or both.

Personally, I can't wait until D' Arcy's stocks become available. I'd also have one of our 'named' smiths do the installation.

Cheers,
CL

I like to deal with the Manufacturer direct, whenever possible.

That eliminates all finger pointing.......................

I understand your frustration, this problem is made more complicated and expensive by the fact that Chuck has to ship a "gun part" over the border and back. Most of us when we get something that's a problem from a vendor in the US, just chalk it up as a loss, it's not worth the hassle.
Let Rick make it right.
my 2 cents.

I realize wronghandedness is a physical affliction,but I don't believe it to be a dirty word(though perhaps CLOSE).(grin)

Sister is plagued, but is right eye dominant,so is getting by wronghandeder than most............................

It's how you used the word (given the situation/context) that could possibly be perceived as derogatory- not dirty. Please see www.dictionary.com for details (now that's definitely derogatory <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />)

Chuck,

First let me say I understand your frustration. For the price you pay for a McMillan Edge stock ($500) you expect it to be PERFECT.

I have ordered stocks directly from McMillan and had to send them back. McMillan went out of their way to fix them.

I ordered an AI stock through Rick. There was a problem, and Rick made it right.

When Rick says that the buck stops here...he means it.

Settle down, and decide exactly what you want to do. I am confident Rick will make it right.

Sorry for all your trouble.
