Being pissed and mad, ain't always a bad thing. It don't hurt for a guy to vent,it adds longevity, because stress kills.
I always thought that Riggin' Fits oughtta be an Olympic Event.

Sure hope you read my whole post, ... I did ... and answered the question you posed to us. I can understand his anger, I think we have all BT/DT with something at some point in our lives. Ain't you buyin' a house that's rackin' you around pretty bad? I don't recall tellin' Chuck what he should feel ... ain't much worried about his feelers. Perhaps after he rants, he'll have Rick fix it or perhaps he'll make a big pile of molten goo outta the stock & "cut his losses" ... its his pile of Dead Presidents (or whomever they put on their money up there ... Celine Dion??). You asked, why pick a dog? Now you know why I (& perhaps one or two others) picked our dog.

Ain't you buyin' a house that's rackin' you around pretty bad? Must we go there <groan>? No hitting below the belt, eh, lol?! I know, I asked the question....but I wanted to make sure you understood that I wasn't bashing on Rick......just saying that Chuck should be allowed to feel what he feels.....cuz, in the end, it ain't our time and $$.... Now I'll shut up for good....hopefully .... Hound'gill" lol...

Houndgirl, do you even own a gun yet? Why, yes, I do. Rem Model 7, S/S, in .308 (synthetic). S&W 586, .357mag Mossberg 46M(a) in .22LR I have a long way to go, but don't cut me short, as I am trying to learn.....and am a pretty good shot.....given I have only been doing this less than a year now. Surely, you had to get your feet wet at some point, somehow.....that is all I am trying to do....but I also got a big ole mouth that I can't seem to shut . I was only giving my perspective, like everyone else..... HoundGirl

Chuck sorry to hear about the problems with your McMillan stock. I had problems with mine where the inletting was wrong & floorplate stuck out 1/4 inch, copped flack from Rick & Kelly for ordering a stock configuration they didn't make. Of course Big Stick had his say like here without a real knowlege of what was going on.
Anyway it didn't happen to him so of course the solution is easy. Even if the problem gets fixed but you're pissed off in the process & you are not a satisfied customer are you? Well I've been there & done that.
What McMillan was prepared to do for me after they investigated further was to let me keep the stock to use till they made a new one correctly. That may be an acceptable solution for you and you get no down time. So keep that in mind.
I have realised that when we play with custom guns or customising even we have to be prepared for " contingencies ". Heck I am sure that these " suppliers" drive gunsmiths mad and they are accustomed to fixing things. Fact is to be in business they have to get reasonable volumes & mistakes will be made. Not just McMillan either, my friend ordered an Accuracy Innovations stock & got the same problem as mine (also MRC short action but did not protrude as much). Another stock was supplied many months later & it had the inletting for the wrong barrel contour. Back to square 1 again. My friend is now considering buying a factory gun!!!
So you are not alone but as someone else has said here there are more important things to worry about & after all that tomorrow the sun will still shine.
I'd also suggest from here on you resolve this matter privately with the parties involved.
Regards JohnT

I'm amazed at what $500.00 US won't buy. Chuck for $549.00 US you can buy a A-bolt, not only do you get the stock, but you get the entire rifle Great shooters too I might add.

HoundGirl Why do they call it a disposable anyway? Would someone keep them for a collection. To reuse beaver scrubber is really cheap in my book.
