Stick ...

completely off topic ... everyone in the world that normally supplies leupold sunshades is out of the post-2004 matte black 40mm 2.5" shades ... I've been trying like crazy to get one, and can't find one anywhere ... talked to Rick, and he's got one on order for me, so when they DO make more, I'll get one ...

but for now, do you have one you could sell/loan me until I get mine?

So you saying I need to be more specific than 13-1/4" LOP. Should I send them a drawing? Should I specifiy that there should be no cracks in the gel coat?

This time of year will be long gone before the brown truck shows, plan on some 140TSX's, if McMillan don't fumble..........

Make that 1.125" length of shank.

how many problems were resolved after the first trip back .... I bet the number drops by MORE than an order of magnitude!

I have had to send the same stock back..................well I think you know the story, and have enough people telling me what to do about it here you'd think the've all had the same experience. Dealing with it in a much better fashion apparently. Big Stick has finally become the expert on one to many things, and can't put a complete sentence togethor trying to keep his head above water.

Lets see, never had a rifle or new one that he couldn't make shoot, Never missed a target, never had a bad stock, never foud a scope that could aim like a 6X42, never cleaned a gun, never couldn't kill something stone dead on the first shot, never found a hole he couldn't catch a fish out of, never found someone he couldn't one up, never keep his flap shut, never.............

Did I miss anything?

This is the Age Of Information and it's a beautiful thing.

You can call in your order, back it via fax or email and quantify the confirmation.

Clear communication,is really a marvel......................

I just mailed them a $1300 barreled action so they can make it fit. I like to eliminate variables.

How terse .... I think I've stated my preference already. But I'm one to believe with my own peepers, and I've probably seen 100 satisfied customers with McM to each gripe. Don't need to spend $500 a pop for something I don't care for, but my eyes don't lie ... unless all those who were thrilled with their McM's are bearing false witness to us!

Yeah, I vaguely recall reading about it somewhere , and I'm sorry you had to go thru it. I feel bad for all that fork out serious quid and their goodies aren't what they asked for! I had the a similar issure with a Banser stock I ordered ... messed with it and sold it at a LARGE loss ... lesson learned.

Sweet!...it's gotta be Chuck's time of the month.

May I suggest some Black Licorice Massengill,to sweeten your sour puss?

English has yet to be an obstacle for me. I can cypher "to" from too and savvy which, witch is which. "Togethor" might could be a Canuckian Mythological Hero, but I reckon it another Special Olympics meritorious citation entry.

Had a 70XTR FW 223,that couldn't/wouldn't shoot. It's an oft recounted USRAC lesson.

Have had lotsa bad stocks, but not by McMillan. (there's a trend there.)

I remain sweet on the 6x42 and greedily grab 'em if non-A/O.

Have cleaned lotsa guns, but have learned the fruitless nature of cleaning for fending boredom.

Gotta admit,my first poke kill ratio is wayyyyyyy up there, unless I grab hold of a 338-378 Wby Accumark and try a 100yd poke through it's Swaro.(grin)

But...redemption is sweet and the 6x42 atop the 338Ultra(McMillan stock and all),done granted the warm/fuzzy again. Whatta 'bout them X bullets?!!?

Man,I AM good with a fish pole, but have noticed you cain't catch 'em,if they ain't there. Timing is everything and I've faith in my watch.

One-upping a Canuck,is akin to sneaking up on a glass of water. Everybody can do it.

Talking in the firsthand, troubles me none.

You forgot,I'm pretty.......................

That is exactly what I would probably do also.

I can't quite get why the 30mm vs. 1" thing matters, as all the Leupy 40mm non-a/o objectives are same-same ... but I do appreciate you taking a look-see for me ... guess I'm 'doomed' to wait patiently for the prize ...

unless of course, anyone else reading this has a "spare" 2.5" matte 40mm leupy sunshade that will fit the 2004 and newer models ...

ps. should I feel bad about taking this thread in a direction other than crying like a biatch about not having what I want ???
