i had a 3.5 taking college prep courses and doing good. coulda got a 4.00 but would have cut into my fun time, not that it mattered. i dont measure intellegence by a high school GPA i was reguarded by my peers as the smartest in my class though grades didnt show it i could take a calc test in half the time of the rest of the class and still match the grade of anyone who spent twice the time on it doing 90% of the work on paper and not relying on a calculator. some of the smarter ppl in the school had 2.5 GPA's cause they didnt like school and took their fun time even more serious than i did. couple of the dumbest ppl i ran across had GPA's higher than mine.

high school GPA is a piss poor way to measure smarts

I used my first student loan to buy an MGB. Then I convinced myself that studying on Daytona Beach during spring break was a "good idea". I guess I really can't count to 3.65. Advanced "placement".....

Poot, my best friend who played nose guard went to class twice a semester whether he need to or not...paid girls to take his tests and write his papers... he lived in the weight room, had a magnificent tan and highly cultivated buzz. Yeah, he has a degree and a decent GPA... course the 70's were different. GPA's ain't what they're cracked up to be... I'd rather been skiing

Hey guys would you wear these shorts in deer camp?
We were at the Kaibab and this guy comes out in these shorts. There were 2 cooks 12 guides and 9 clients there in all. And you should have heard us laughing. But hey if you are comfy go for it.

Mtn Hunter;

I don't have any problem with Chuck, at all. In fact, I was attempting to help the thing get resolved (albeit not as smoothly as perhaps I shoulda or coulda).

At the end of the day, yeah, Chuck and Rick reached a mutually acceptable agreement. THAT is what counts.

The problem I had was with the comment earlier. Getting torqued 'cause [bleep] happened is normal. Continuing to gripe and b!tch and moan about it after a resolution is met is, well... it just don't sit.

Hey, if Chuck gets a stock he's happy with outta this, and Rick's met his end of it, everything is kosher. Time will tell; as it always does. Complaining constantly about it until that time is far from kosher.

BTW, Chuck, if you wanna give me your end of, jfsag, PM me the details, or ask for my e-mail addy. You can write it all down, and I'd otherwise offer to do it via phone, but this weekend is dedicated to getting away from life-surrounded-by-boxes (i.e. finishing up a move... mostly).

BTW - I agree with rattler, GPA is a piss-poor way to measure intelligence, and has NO correlation to common sense at all.

I actually pulled a reasonable cumulative GPA, but I did it in a rather unique fashion. Kind of went something like this....1.95 GPA, 3.9GPA, 2.2 GPA, 3.7GPA, etc. you get the general idea. The funny thing is there was a direct correlation between my GPA and the amount of snow in a given semester. High snow semesters, low GPA, low snow semsters High GPA. Man's got to have priorities............back then it was skiing and climbing

I ain't gonna insult him on being wound up and making a coupel bad moves, based on emotion. Humans are prone to doing that.

BT/DT; and have had a BUNCH of clients that got themselves into FAR worse pickles than he (or anyone else involved in this one) has by making any decision based on emotion.
