Funny thing is...most of the millionaires and multis that I know, have gone bust at least once.

That being said, I don't tally success by $ or by letters following my name...I'm fairly content.

Good news is I broke 4000 posts after this thread, being member #48.

Bad news is I'm lagging behind Larry to the tune of 13,500+ posts... BS stands for more than just Big Stick...

There I go again... zzzzzaaaaapppp.

I've been scanning through this mess for a while now, and I'm having a hard time finding where you guys are seeing the lack of communication on Chuck's part. He placed his order (which is all he should have to do), and after he received the stock that wasn't as ordered, he contacted the person that he ordered it from. After that didn't work, he contacted the manufacturer direct. That still didn't resolve it. I fail to see him as the bad guy here. (though I wouldn't have brought it up on the board)
If I needed to fill out an order form, plus call it in, and then follow up with an email to be sure they got it right, I wouldn't be using them.
Likewise, if my customers had to go through that much crap to "create their own luck", I wouldn't have a job.

Creating bad luck,is easily arranged too.

My preference,is hedging a bet,in all matters. That's why I just whooped out a fresh batch of killer eggs.

You boys scream and shout,I'm heading to the creek to see if Chuck was right,in casting me the Fish Meister Title.

A pun there......................

Kevin, you're mostly right... the only part you got wrong is the stock went back to the guy TWICE that he ordered it from and ONCE to the original mfg (McMillan).

I know cause I sent back the stock to southern CA the first time... the bolt cutout looked like Larry had worked it over with a Husky... not to mention butchered pad, wrong LOP and studs.

Third time and seven months failed to wrork the charm hence the thread... apparently it was the right move as action was forthcoming.

My last post on the subject... Rick's been battered around plenty but he's done the right thing.

Carry on Larry...

Clearly, the stock is cursed. Nothing else explains this madness.

Where ever it is now, it should be purified with fire and the remains cast into the sea.

Ever notice that. Always seems that once someone at work FUBARS a job, no matter how many times you try to redo it something always goes wrong. I hate being the clean-up batter. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/help.gif" alt="" />

With your luck, when you put the new/replacement stock on it probably won't hold a group. It'll be right, but it won't shoot.
