Its threads like this that remind me how much I LOVE this place I used to think I was a regular guy and now I KNOW Im one of the luckiest bastids alive. My McMillan stocks are stable, light contour barrels shoot, SUCKS dont fire on safety release, nary a bolt handle has come unhinged, Leupies with standard duplex work til dark, S30V blades hold an edge and dont chip, and my beloved 7 rem mags dont have wild pressure swings and kill chit with 140 grain boolits thinkin here that maybe I should head to Vegas or buy some lotto ticlets

Course I think I read somewhere one time something to the tune of..."a guy makes his own luck."

been fryin' the fool outa yearling bass, freshwater stripes and cats. giving fillets away at work to city folks. they are ever thankful for truly fresh fish ....
glad too see levity is reigning once again. talk of fishin' will do that.

Too funny DB, they would, however, make some nice bait for some big northern pike

steelheading is easy. Lost a big sucker due to Hook Failure (straightened out on me) and landed a few average fish.

i saw a lil' bear running the beach on the way to the steelhead hole.

I was rolling today's fish in the upper and mid-section of the drift, just shy of the two rocks at the bottom. Never could hook or roll anything downtown of those nuggets. You?

If a guy hit the creeks early,it'd take alotta body bags to house the carnage.

Game on............................

All mine came in the upper opposite quadrant where that other riffle feeds into the main riffle. Nothing low.

One of the steelhead I caught was weird looking. I took me a bit to call it a steelhead and not a rainbow. All kinds of big spots on it, but had chrome. If it was a rainbow, it was HUGE.
