Its cool to see them in the wild. You are glassing and you start seeing tails in the grass sticking up. You usually see one, then before you know it theres 10/15 tails in the air. Its cool.

Nice looking club you got there Stetson!
Too bad it's in an obsolete cartridge that's inadequate for anything but small deer inside 200 yards!

There, is that good for a couple more posts?

Here is what another poster thinks about my rig. I'll try not to loose any sleep tonight while I'm whinning about the run in the paint.

You know a good way to paint a stock?

Drive to the ghetto part of your town, put the stock against a clean wall and by Morning some thug or gang banger will have graffiti'd(sp) it. Then you know you have a custom unique paint job on your stock.

Then again some bum might steal it and use it for fire wood or something.

Damn 3/4" rifle. Am guessin' you've be happy to be rid of the embarrassment. Probably best to blame your wife as it's her rig. Bad paint, worse mounts, definitely a woman's gun.

yup but there is a story there. Momma has vision problems right at dusk/dawn so the scope got scootched back to fit her. The whole rig got purchased a week before we went boo hunting after her MKV took a crap in a big way. The offsets were all they had in stock so I ran with them. The gun shoots and balances so well I hate to mess with it if it ain't broke.
Whataya think BS? LW Talleys or just med Leupys???

The trouble with 30mm tubes in general,is that there isn't much offered in the way of mounting them low and snug.

I'd love to see LW's offered in 30mm low.

Would also like to see an LW "Tactical" Theme, sorta a homogenous IBA-ish system in 30mm that would mount a 40mm objective low and with 20MOA inclination. The 1pc base/homogenous rings, coupled with 4 fasteners, would be SWEET.

Until then,I'd prolly go DD posilign.........................
