I've now had 2 flights cancelled on me, trying to get out of Ithaca. If they scrub this evening's flight, too, I'll rent a car and start the 10 hours back to Greater Cincy. Then I'll be able to grab the truck and start South toward Monterey. Of course, they could get me out of ITH, only to strand me at my Philly connection. cry

But, I shall continue to think happy thoughts!

And someone please PM me a list of provisions to bring.

Thanks,

FC

Have about 2 inches here already but it's likely to stop by middle afternoon rather than the 6pm timeframe as earlier predicted. Flights tomorrow afternoon should be leaving as scheduled.

Bigger problem here is a sheet of ice is underneath the falling snow.

Who needs/wants a weather resistant rifle? I have about 4 of them which could make the trip, if needed.

Pat...Allen is going to let me use one of his as I didn't want to F around with the diaper headed TSA idjits at Dulles IAD. I think Allen's rifle he's bringing may be one of nice wood so, if it isn't any extra trouble for you, please bring a weather proofed rifle so I don't have to worry about the extra protection and perfect cleaning of one of his wood stocked rifles. One bullet, too.

Only if it is not one bit of trouble though, Pat.

What's your favorite liquor,Pat?

Thank you.

well, I planned to bring an AR in .300 Blackout. Others that are ready to go are:

.300 Weatherby (not for the recoil sensitive smile )
7mm-08 Montana
AR in 6.8
Browning Abolt .308

there's also an AR10 carbine in .308, but you'll have to sight it in.

And no whiskey required, I can't shoot 5 pigs and I'd be happy to see folks use them. smile

Proceed cautiously in your travels gents.

For you guys coming into Nashville, PM me when you get there. I'm only an hour away.

Thanks to both Pat and Tony but Allen just contacted me and his extras are all weather, as well.

So, you don't need to take up extra space for my begging, sorry ass.

Thanks anyways, gents. Appreciated.

I've never hunted pigs in the snow. This could be fun.

Mark...Dan and I get to Nashville at around 6p. We'll have a SUV waiting for us and then head to the Hilton (Nashville Downtown).

Dinner reservations are at 830pm at a place called PUB 5. I'd be more than happy to buy you and your wife dinner if you want to join us. A celebration dinner for your new employment, so to speak.

There's one extra sleeping pull out bed in our room so your wife can stay overnight with us if she wants.

Man, I love packing for a three-season outing packed into 3 days!

Might have to bring a bigger vehicle....

Who's up for sledding a pig down the mountain this year?

p.s. dibs on the all-terrain yak. I hear they've got an enclosed cabin for it.

Funny we're meeting for the first time in Tennessee when you're practically a neighbor.

You're going to have a blast with these guys, Tony. I doubt you'll want to miss future events after this soiree.

See you Wed. Safe travels.

I generally don't eat breakfast. If your wife made her jams again, I'll be eating breakfast.
