Stuck this 57 Lyman on my old Oberndorf sporter last week. Not a collector anymore as previous owner stuck a pre-64 model 70 barrel on it back in the. 50's. Kaywoodie, I like BOTH of those rifles! Especially the 9.3x62! Always wanted to play with that cartridge, and I am giving SERIOUS consideration to having my BRNO ZKK 600 (now a 30/06) re chambered to that classic big game thumping round.
I did not post pictures of my ZKK 600 because 1) is is still on its way to me from over seas (BATFE paperwork is all in and GTG on the import) and 2) it is a pure, non fancy, well used working rifle and no beauty queen. I do plan on re finishing the wood and maybe re bluing it when I get it, but the Walnut on it is straight but not colored or eye catching. It has some cool features like an automatic pop up peep rear sight that comes into play when there is not a scope base holding it down, so some QD scope rings will definately be in order along with another low X Burris Posi Lock Scope if I can find one.
