Cleanthony Early of Wichita played HS ball in my town, Pine Bush NY (a small farming community in the foothills of the Catskills). He's played well so far. Nice dunk toward the end of the 1/2.

I like this team. They play smart. Just a guess, but as Wichita is in wheat country, it may come from shocking wheat.

Yup. Figured KY would hang around this thing. Too bad for the Shockers. They played well and beat several tournament teams in regular season.

Tennessee already has Mercer on their heels. They appear much quicker. The 3 pointer is only thing keeping Mercer in game right now....

Every small town in the Carolina's and Georgia has a college of some sort. Mercer falls into that bucket. One of the oldest in the country as well.
To your point, however I didn't even know they had a basketball program.
