The mascot has always been referred to as Sparty.
I don't know why all of the MSU teams are often referred to as "Sparty"...recent development. Don't know who started it.

Rather proud of what Bennett is doing at Virginia. He was an amazing player here in Green Bay and while he didn't light up the NBA - at least he made it there from a small town school in a small city.
I remember that when he was picked in the draft, there were stories that the Bulls had worked him out prior. 1992 - the Bulls won their third in a row, were NBA kings and they were interested in a sub 6 foot guard from UW-Green Bay.

Not a real member - just an ordinary guy who appreciates being able to hang around and say something once in awhile.

Always been a fan of the Bennetts Yup! Bennett is bringing in developmental players and getting around this one and gone crap. He will be a force to be reckoned with. Especially, next season.

va went thru to many bad years but they are knockin them off this year.i used to play ball back in the late 70's early 80's. i thought ralph sampson would take them farther than he did. we played pickup games with sampson almost every week when he was in high school in harrisonburg va. the whole team can shoot this year. if those top seeds keep droppin out va has a shot at it.

Tonight's pics: Stanford over Dayton Arizona over SD St. Wisconsin over Baylor UCLA over Florida  I would like SD St. and Dayton to win, just don't think they will. Gators/Bruins has potential to be a great game. Both teams very good and it could go either way IMO.....

Lol. Insane pick. Maybe, but I gotta make one or ain't no fun. I did pick Dayton over Syracuse, which some thought insane also. UCLA can be awesome at times. Game will match great offense vs. great defense, basically. UCLA is probably best offense Florida has seen all year......
