Any body seen any of these yet. Brown truck stopped at my FFL today and left this. Supposed to be the only one in the country. I am a lucky dog. [img:center][/img]

I have my local gun shop looking for one of those for me. I hope to have it this year, I'm actually very happy to see one has been produced!

Hope you find one! If I get desperate I will pull the barrel off a 308 win and put a new tube on it or find a Sako?
I can't/shouldn't even start thinking about a 260 at the moment, still looking for a 338 win mag!

good donor for a 7-08 retube....:-),,kidding,...kidding...:-)
That would be a good one with a couple mods like a cut and crown to 22" and a good stock.

I'd put it in an Edge Mountain Rifle stock and cut it back to 21-22". I will be curious to see how these rifles are throated. My last Remington .260 would let Accubonds just touch the lands at 2.815".
Now with even more aplomb

I see that. Dang, them gun salesmen are worse than car salesmen. Well, at least I have mine. I looked at the add and it is a good price, kinda funny how everyone wanted Rem to bring this out and no body has jumped on it.

It's not the only one, or two....
Buddy picked up his almost two weeks ago. Mine should be here soon according to Remington. Game Scout EDGE is ready and waiting.

GT, When I found this one the week before last, The dealer was told that it was the only one (in country) from his wholesaler. I see there are two on GB now. The one for $578 is a bargain, if I were you I would buy it and not wait for the one you have on order. Who knows how you you could wait.

How soon will you be able to check the lands distance to the mag box?

Looks just like a 9T 7-08 Wonder if they waited to long to capitalize on the 260 fever and did the 26 Nosler have a nudge in this... W

Man, you make me sick....
Only reason for a 1/8 twist is....... if it can seat a 140 Berger in the magazine and kiss the lands. Let us know...
Otherwise cut and crown at 22" and rechamber to a Creedmore.

No way the Berger will kiss at mag length in an OEM 700 260. If it was throated to do such, traditional bullets (and factory ammo) would be a no-go.
I've been watching for one of these to pop up at the LGS.....none yet.
I enjoy handguns and I really like shotguns,...but I love rifles!
