I stated that in the above post. The bear was atleast recovered. Had the same story unfolded for me pride in the hunt would be the last thing I felt and i sure as hell wouldnt have shared the shared the details.

"The bear was atleast recovered" due to someone else's efforts. No secret that I cannot hunt and get around like I would like, want, or used to. JIm had to put a finisher in the bear with his 44 Magnum revolver as I had not taken into account the bears forward motion when I held on his back ribs for a kill shot.
I have come here to chew bubblegum and kick ass. And I'm all out of bubblegum. I do tend to fit in well wherever I go in person. The campfire is the most outside exposure I get. No TV, no newspaper.

I'd like to meet the man that can drag 2 miles of 5/8" cable. Or even 500' of it through the terrain pictured. I am a retired electric lineman and from the pics there is NO WAY in HELL there is 2 miles of cable on that reel in the back of that truck.I call BS  There you guys go blowing holes in his story with actual experience and facts. I'm not actually experienced with 5/8 cable, but I know dragging 300 feet of 9/16 across a frozen stubble field is impossible for 1 Guy and a workout for two.
