Serial number 10.001..... or a like new Savage 1920 pair in 250/3000 and 300 that would be consecutively serial numbered with Lyman sights. You did say wish right?

Same thing Ken but add early production - with a barrel band These are mythological creatures - very similar to Bigfoot. I have heard of credible sightings. And a sighting I heard of was in a Winchester caliber - I believe .32/40 IIRC. Other ironies: the catalogs say they exist and if you letter a M1899F with JTC he will say in the letter that early ones (I believe he specifies prior to 1905) have the small barrel band

A 99 scaled down to the 223 cartridge , mini-99. That would make a great walkabout rifle.

For all I've known, though, he has seen a couple. We know they sure weren't around for 5 years.

The running joke I've had with myself when one is shown to me, and the person also proudly displays their letter of authenticity - I respond, "too bad it doesn't letter - I suppose I could be interested in it as a shooter..."

99s,99s,99s! I'd like a mint 219 with factory D&T for scope blocks for my sad old eyes. Any caliber as long as it's .25-20 WCF or .22 Hornet.
Was Mike Armstrong. Got logged off; couldn't log back on. RE-registered my old call sign, Mesa. FNG. Again. Mike Armstrong

My first swiss cheese 300EG was my first dream 99...then I kept dreaming of the next perfect 99.., and the next, and the next.. Hard to imagine the one that will make me say, "Ok, enough"

I thought about the 1895, but didn't know if they were made in carbine or saddle gun.

I thought about the 1895, but didn't know if they were made in carbine or saddle gun. Of course they made a carbine. With the small barrel band! And a ring You're not going to get a .38/55 or a .32/40 in the '95 Carbine however (:

SRC's? More than 1.
Or are you talking a short barreled special order non-SRC?
