If you are planning to need another prayer on Saturday you need to stop playing with this. Call AA.

When the Navy sent me to school in Pensacola, I was sent to work in the mess hall for a month before my class was formed. We all bunked in a big room off the mess hall. There was a second class there who, every day before he got out of his rack, would reach around to his locker and get out the half quart of vodka left from the night before. He'd chug it dry before his feet hit the deck. At that point, before he stood up, he'd reach in and get a fresh one, open it, chug half, then get up. He'd finish that bottle while getting showered, shaved and dress. All day he had a coffee cup in his hand with just enough coffee in it to color it. I'm sure the guy probably went through three bottles or more a day. Scuttlebutt was, he'd been a chief at one time, but busted down to 2nd class for drinking related stupidity. Before I left, he got in trouble again and all we saw of him at the mess hall was when he came in for early chow, in line with all the other brig prisoners.

The bad thing about trying to drink yourself to death or to relieve pain is that it might not work. I worked with a guy that drank any time he was awake, even at work. His wife had to have him committed to a mental institute about 20 years ago for alcohol dementia and he died there. He really did pickle his brain.

Why the death wish? Just Google "Cirrhosis of the Liver" and then decide for yourself.

I tried to find out one night not long ago with scotch. Luckily, I ran out........of scotch.
I try to keep it down to a few beers while I'm cooking on weekends and have a few whiskey's every now and then.

http://aa-intergroup.org/urgent/index.phpTry this for a right now contact online.... also search by zip code for AA meetings near you.... How many hours since your last drink now? Depending on now much and for how long you have been a heavy drinker you might need a medically supervised detox... a pure white knuckle cold turkey "I quit" approach can kill some folks... Keep us posted on what you decide

Suck an 870 wingmaster, it's faster.
Instead of having sjhitbreath, it will plum take your breath away. Do it at a Brown Squirrel furniture outlet, so they can have another out-of-business sale.

. I only quit Mon-Fri & Sunday, my addiction is on Saturday nights only. Great news then! It sounds like there is no need for medical detox. AA list their meetings as either open or closed. Anyone is welcome to come and just sit in and listen to the open meetings. It's fine to just say."Hi my name is Bob (or whatever) and I'd just like to listen tonight.".No one is going to pester you for details you don't feel like talking about. The closed meetings are for people that have decided something to the effect of, "Aw crap, bad things consistently happen when I drink so I'm trying my best not to drink (at least for awhile)and would like to speak with other people who think they are in the same boat.". A standard suggestion is to sit in on at least a half a dozen open meetings before you make up your mind about whether or not you think they might be useful to you. lots of interesting people hang out in those rooms from all walks of life.... Some of them very cool and well worth getting to know along with a certain percentage of others who are weird and annoying.... kind of like any group of people only maybe just amplified a little bit

If somebody gets drunk once a week they need AA? I don't think that the definition of an alcoholic is tight enough to say one way or another. If the OP was serious, perhaps the answer to your question is yes. Cool thing about AA, from what I've seen, is they won't tell you you're an alcoholic. You have to come to that conclusion yourself based upon your experience.
