I tried that Jack single barrel and didn't like it. I don't think it's legally a bourbon anyway.

Woodford Reserve, Blantons single barrel, Elijah Craig, and Makers in that order for me unless I find something else in the future.

Knob Creek is my choice when I don't mind shelling out for it. When I'm feeling frugal I go with the Makers Mark.

I enjoy Makers Mark from time to time.OTOH there's a cheap bar whiskey brand name Kessler's logo is "Smooth as Silk" that doesn't get the market share that it deserves.
It's a great sippin' whiskey if'n ya like good corn likker.

Enjoy responsibly.

Glenlivit single malt Scotch when I can afford which ain't often. However, the bottle comes out only on very special occasions.

Don't touch it much any more, but when I did it was Early Times and swamp water.

At this time and point in life it's an occasional import or dark beer and/or glass of wine.

Jack Daniel's is Tennessee whiskey, not bourbon (which is all supposed to be made in Bourbon County, Kentucky). Most Tennessee whiskey is "sippin' whiskey", usually milder than bourbons of comparable age and effort.

I like Jack Daniel's--it suits my taste, my budget and fills the bill for me. I love the really good single malt scotches, but most are too expensive for regular enjoyment. However, I don't feel particularly deprived...

Makers Mark is the house hold everyday bourbon. On occassion I will purchase 1792 which is "Mothers Milk" by golly smooth and tasty right from the start.
Never have understood the Knob Creek thing? Never could choke it down. I usually drink my bourbon straight up on the rocks or with a little water.

On the Jim Beam lable it says" THE WORLDS FINEST BOURBON"...
I've never been one to argue with a lable...
Makers Mark for quality.....
Beam for quantity....

Macallan, Balvenie Double Wood, Glenmorangie (I like 'em all), Glenfiddich 15 and 18, Laphroig, Talisker ... in no particular order.

Make mine Scotch.

284, I'll ditto your take on Kessler's. Nice and smooth.

We usually have a bottle of Old Crow around at elk hunting camp. As I get older, I am becoming more of a snob. I prefer Woodford Reserve to anything else I have sampled.

Seriously, a sip or 2 of southern comfort is good. It will mix with just about any soft dring you may have on hand.

I have a half pint left over from last summer, that is all of a sudden starting to sound appealing. Thanks for starting the tread, fathers day to boot !

I like single malt scotch, preferably 12 yr old. I like the highland malts best. I used to have a fair collection of different malts, right now I have 2. Better than none.
