Nice for certain parts of the country. Wouldn't want to ride out a Tornado in one... You probably don't want to ride out a cold front at -15* in one either. They come standard with r14 insulation, an additional r11 is offered to give a total r25 value.

In a cold climate, you'd have to enclose that crawl space to protect the plumbing, assuming you have plumbing. This is one that you can make as cheap or as expensive as you like. It leaves a lot of room for innovation. Personally, I'd want to add some windows on the sides.
