Had those when I was moose hunting in Maine and they were surprisingly very good. Previous to that every hotdog I'd ever seen that color red was a cheap gut bomber.

I like these;

Grill?

Yep, just a good old charcoal Weber. All this talk of hot dogs made me thaw out a few of my dwindling stash of Sechrist smoked franks (small family-owned butcher shop) for tonight's grilling. Gotta get up to York, PA soon to replenish the supply. Wash 'em down with a cold IPA, while wondering what the poor people are having for dinner. smile

I do like good hot dogs, but I'd probably simmer them.

Grilled dogs,grilled buns topped with mustard and onions. YUM!

I reserve simmered dogs on steamed buns for baseball games.

Know fat, know flavor. No fat, no flavor.

I tried going vegan, but then realized it was a big missed steak.

Beer is the choice of champions for simmering, cream ale is good also.
