Does that stupid ass rail come off easily?
Travis
Yes, if it's the same as the 308s. I was looking at one the other day and thought that maybe I could make a rear sight work in the holes drilled for the rail. You dumb SOB. The Ruger Scout comes with a rear ghost ring. Only a true moron would propose installing a partridge rear on such a rifle.

I guess people either love or hate the Ruger GSR. I think they're pretty badass myself, though I don't own one. Just the modern take on a No 5 jungle carbine...I would prefer the No 5.
These are my opinions, feel free to disagree.

And you have to take that ghost ring off if you're going to mount a conventional scope...

I'm not really sure why I need a GSR. I guess with one of these rifles you'd spend less time hunting spent brass, compared to an AR. Some weight savings compared to a .308 AR. And it would be more politically correct in a state with semi-auto restrictions. <shrug> and that's before you think about how it looks...

I have looked at the GSR a time or two and wondered where I had seen it before. Thanks for bringing up the Jungle Carbine. I'd say that is definitely the GSR's granddaddy.
