I just purchased a new in box tikka 260. My question is...will the factory rings hold without slipping or should I get something else? If so, what would you recommend? I don't need a hundred dollar set of mounts, but do want something solid and secure that won't slip around. What say you?

Look into 16bore's milled talleys. They look like just the ticket. If I owned a Tikka, that's the route I'd take if the factory rings weren't adequate.

Absolutely nothing wrong with the Tikka rings, will hold your scope without moving for years.

I had the factory Tikkler mounts move. Correction, the little recoil lug (pin) migrated through the alloy ring (i.e. the harder pin pushed its way through the soft alloy and started to bulge it). This was on a 300 WSM, but I had five Tikklers and didn't use the factory rings again.

I like the DNZ ringmount myself, Low.
