What does one of those prime furs go for anyway?

The Cat frenzy's tapering off but I wouldn't waste an XL MT Cat on a hat.
A nice wide spotted belly should still fetch 500+ this year.

Sam

Thanks for the thread. Nice to see the fall & harvest from so many different locations that I would not normally have the opportunity to visit. Makes me dream of that pheasant hunt that I was always going to do. GW

Good point.

That and a $500 fur hat will either get you robbed in town or mistook for a deer and decapitated out in the woods.

Beautiful farm county. Can't beat those harvest pictures. Beats the heck out of my hay bale pictures. No pheasants in this area of sw Missouri and not enough quail to hunt them. Plenty of whitetails, coyote, turkey, few elusive bobcats and black bear. Thanks again GW

They say everything happens for a reason.
For me that reason is usually because I've made some bad decisions that I need to pay for.

FieldGrade, it is tough for sure. Our two little (house)dogs are hell on fur hats.

Speaking of dogs...

This afternoon(corn pile tractor work) I look out the window and see our 4 horses out in the neighbor's stubble field.

WTF???

Bad timing, anyway long story short my dad's heeler rolls in (fresh)horse chit during gate repair.

I did not realize this until he had rubbed it all over the tractor seat and myself.

Oldtimer, hay bales anywhere are a good sign!

We have a few birds this Fall but not like the old days.

Bbassi, that is what awesome!

No need to stop off at the BTE when you got bassi postin' pics like that.

Fugged up and thought I'd seen a condor. Turned out to be a game bird. Live and learn.

Hey Flave,
You better clean your PM box, it is full. I need to send you a message from the Possum Lodge.

Sorry bro.

I use my box so often it is sometimes hard for me to tell it is full.

And you're right. My box was JAMMED FULL. Even overflowing a bit.

Anyway, I took a couple out of my box so you could slide in.

Looking forward to my box flashing due to 338 Rem.

I can't remember owning a dog that didn't like a fresh pile of horse chit.
Most of em just ate it but I did have a big ol Lab that loved to roll in Cow pie.

Taken in the mountains outside of Hope, AK. The pictures don't do the view justice.

Linx are the only cats up here (officially) and supposed to be fairly uncommon to come across.

And when and where do I spot one? Stalking it's way down a snowbank on the side of the highway during the evening commute home!
