The Zeiss has a long tube allowing to fit on long actions. The Leupold does not. If you want a fixed four on a CZ 550 magnum action, or on any .416 Rigby sized actions, the Zeiss is the way to go. This is what I believe drove the buyer to this extreme price.

A guy had Zeiss Conquest 1,8-5.5x38 in box for $400. Over six hundred for 4x32? Well, used car salesman have saying there is seat for every ass.

Wonder what the chances are of Doug being able to get Zeiss to do a batch run of them for Cameraland (offering them to campfire members first of course) I know I would be speed dialing him today to place my order.

Gregg they are listed on the website as unavailable. The world is mostly variable crazy except for a few cranks (like us). Dunno if they would do it.
You might ask Doug(?). I have been lucky to buy a pair the last 2-3 months.
