What is the difference between a 7mm-300 wsm and a 7wsm?

Different neck length

.038" longer neck, and .038" shorter body on the 7-300 vs the straight 7WSM.

so its currently a 6x47 lap barrel on it? this isnt a switch barrel rig im assuming, you just have the bolt and barrel if someone would want to switch it up. is the 7 barrel new? how much brass

It is a switch barrel rig. An action wrench and vise and it easy an easy swap. In the pics I have the 6x47 barrel. I actually have the other barrel on now if anyone would like pics of that.

What contour is the 6 x 47? Do you know if the DBM bottom metal can be replaced with Bdl style hinged floor plate? I'm a little ignorant to the switch barrel but do you use a go � no go guage to get repeatable headspace or just fired piece of brass?

No, the inlet for the Surgeon metal is longer and deeper.


Neither.....screw 'em off, screw 'em on, snug 'em up a tad so they don't unscrew, and call it good.
