Barnes TSX or Trophy Bonded will do less meat damage than the InterBonds.

Within its range, so will a 400 gr Speer out of a 45-70 wink , you can eat right up to the hole

I use TSX's in my .257 Roberts and I had the 165 Interbonds leftover from my 300 SAUM. I am sure I will need to switch bullets when these run out since Interbonds are like hens teeth anymore.

Interbonds are an elk bullet . are you shooting elk? i had some 150 interbond on hand, loaded them for a friend, worked great on elk. i use I4064, varget, I/H4895 in 30-06 for accuracy. H/I 4350 for a little more velocity. i mainly shoot 165 167 and 168 grain out the 30-06s.

I had good luck with 165 Interbonds and H4350. 59gr and right at 2900. Had to play with the seating depth a lot though, before they would group like I wanted. Grouped 1.5"+ in the initial seating depth. They aren't the most accurate load for my gun, but consistently at or just under MOA now, and would work for anything I have done with that rifle.

Interbonds are my favorite bullets.I've had best luck with short action rifles. Those are loaded about .030 off the lands. My long action rifles like them seated out a little long too.Play with your seating depth and you might get them to shoot great for you.

It's funny you say that since I was thinking the same thing after I shot my buck this year. I shot a real nice ten point buck from 177 yards away and the buck weighed all but 200 lbs. The bullet went in right behind the shoulder and went out around the fourth to last rib on the opposite side. The bullet entrance was about the size of dime and the exit hole was the size of a silver dollar. There were actually two exit holes so I am thinking the one might have been a rib bone.

The wound channel of that bullet was what made me think this is an elk bullet! The bullet went through both lungs and usually the lungs are a pinkish color but the lungs on this deer were as dark as the liver with massive holes through each one. The blood shot meat on the ribs from the entrance wound was eight inches in diameter and the blood shot meat from the exit wound was over twelve inches in diameter. The wound channel took part of one of my back straps and it destroyed the other to the point where the meat almost looked like it was cooked.

So, the bullet did its job without a question but it might be a little too much for deer. I will say the deer died right there so the bullet absolutely did what it was designed to do and I have zero complaints about it.

I'd personally recommend the 165 or 168 gr TTSX for minimal meat damage/loss.

I'd try to work up a load starting around 56 and working towards 59 gr of H-4350 and call it good once I got to 2,700 - 2,800 fps on the chronograph and decent accuracy.
