Had I not run across a good deal on this EdT stove, I'd most likely have gone with the HPG "Shepherd's Stove". Maybe one day when/if I need a tipi that warrants a bigger stove. Put one or two in the hands of guys who will use them hard in long field conditions for a while and report back their unvarnished opinions. EdT's stuff has been used for a long time and stood up well. If you want yours to have that reputation, it has to earn it. Find someone who has the reputation and the chops to put it through it's paces, offer one to them gratis, and then accept their unvarnished feedback (even better if published online with no punches pulled).
