Funny I have all of the above on my list to bring. I am picturing a 30 round clip on the Amish machine gun with see thru mounts.

Back to a more serious note, how many people are looking at or have an illuminated scope they're planning on using (as recommended) and how important is one to being successful on this type of hunt?

Only thing I've got illuminated is a Nightforce 5.5-22x50 that sits on a HB .308 that I really wasn't planning on using... Only other thing I've got 30mm rings for is a Mtn. Guide 7mm-08 and the scope would be damn near as big as it.

I was actually thinking of bringing a few guns that normally don't see much daylight.

No illuminated reticles, but I thought I'd throw a few parachute flares up.

I have a couple of VX-R's that have the illum. Firedot, so I'll bring them. I'll probably move the 3x9 from a 5.56 to the .308 AR. And I may bring a 6.8 AR with a 1.5-4 VX-R, as well, depending on how it shoots.

I'm thinking about either a VX-6 or a Nightforce for an aoudad hunt in October, so I may get it early & bring it.

I'll probably get a green kill light, too. We have pigs on my deer lease and they are fairly spooky, so the night hunting gear would get more use.

No, Pat said I was [two of 'em], that gunslinger PaMac was the one that called me a fresh shaved baby powdered poosie. ROR

That was exactly what happened. Can't make it this year.
