Potential. I think everyone probably expects the next Breaking Bad, but doubt it delivers that. Hard to form much an opinion off one episode, but I like it so far.

BB was supposed to be really good, but I never tried watching it either, as I've got school-age kids in the house. I'd like to check out the new show, but I didn't even watch The Walking Dead last night until the second showing. Watched Legend of the Superstitions, a show about the search for the Lost Dutchman's Mine. It started pretty slow. I hope it gets better.

Best I can tell, is this took place well before he became Saul in Breaking Bad. I assume he'll have more interaction with Mike (booth attendant), as he was his main man in BB.
I'm curious if it'll toggle between "real time" (him being in hiding), and the past?

I recommend BB to everyone, with one caveat - ironically - it's like a drug, in that you can't stop once you start.
Only watch it if you have time off work, or don't have to worry about waking up at a certain time. The wife and I spent way too many nights, saying to each other "just one more episode" (?), and suffering from lack of sleep the next day.
I think we watched the whole thing in 6-8 weeks. I wanna go back and take the time to watch it again, at some point in life. Maybe spend my Spring fishing nights at the lake house watching. Lots of nights it gets dark early, and there isn't much to do once fishing is done.

I liked the first episode. I'm curios how the characters tie together. His name on the show is Jimmy McGill but he has the VHS of him as Saul. I thought maybe its his new identity but Mike and Tuco showed up and neither made it out of BB.
I really like Odenkirk as an actor. He was great in Fargo.

I do not care for shows of this genre. That's just me, but I thought I'd offer the thought.

Just watched it and am intrigued. Taping the second episode in a few minutes. It's a pre-quel to BB, BTW.
