Thanks, many of those I don't own anymore but I keep the pictures around as reminders. One nice thing about Rugers is that they tend to be more affordable than S&W's or Colts, particularly on the used market, so I've been able to try out quite a few in order to find out what I like and don't like.

.480 Blackhawk by Huntington: Those punch bullets just make that picture! Great revolver too. The 480 Ruger is, to my mind, a truly underrated cartridge.

It's not that I'm a S&W snob but shouldn't this thread be in the Nautical Forum under "Boat Anchors"?

RS Bite your tongue. There is no bigger boat anchor than an X-frame.

.475 Linebaugh Bisley by John Linebaugh: Very cool. Is that a recent Linebaugh build or an older one?

My pair of Bisley 44s. One a trimmed Hunter the other a Lipseys gun. I ended up having to replace the front sight and ramp on the short one. The factory had soldered it on both off center and at an angle. I made a one piece front with a brass insert to replace it. Much better now but I don't have a picture.

That cut-down Hunter is pretty cool! Who did the work? Is the front sight still interchangeable?

Yes the front sight still interchanges and I did the work myself. It's cut at 5.5" and handles really well.

A lot of nice pieces showing up here. Looks like single actions outnumber double actions by about three to one.

I like the way you think. I like those K-frame Rugers too.
