It's up & down here usually in Jan-Feb. Friday was 70's, yesterday 40's, today 20's and freezing rain.

I'd rather have 6 feet of snow than 1/8" of freezing rain.

When we made the move into Town at the end of January we cleaned out my upright freezer. I unwittingly told The Redhead that she could give anything away that was in it, forgetting all my ground wild pork was in there.

Oh, well, a Messican family has been eatin' well and that means I gotta kill me some more hogs soon. Dunno if I can wait for March, though... my kids are all comin' down for my birthday weekend (3/12-3/17) and they loooooooooove grilled antelope-pork burgers (50:50 ground venison:wild pork... delish!). If I don't have time to hunt, I'll have to get some wild pork from my buddy by then. Might be able to go after piggies on my lease on 3/13-14 with the son-in-law, if he comes, though...

I've no shortage of meat, but if nothing else I'll want a bunch of sausage for Many Letters' and Quemado gatherings. smile

Pat...consider it done.Unless I see a monster with tusks I could see from my blind, or wherever, I'll shoot a smaller, eating sized pig for you.

I have two beauts of hog mounts already and I'd only shoot something bigger than what I've already taken. You'd get that meat too but, I'll likely not have that opportunity so I'll focus of taking a hog worthy of your sausage making and/or whatever else you'd like to do with the meat of a 80-120#.

REMINDER PAT: Bring extra cooler.

Damn, forgot about freezer space. Even though I had a slow deer season, I still got 9. Even though I donated 3, the freezer's still full.

Hopefully, we'll make it to an ave. high of 48 before then. This weather is killing my business.

My wife said she wants me to send some home, but can't send 3 of them home. Gonna have to give some deer meat away. But a lot of my meat is in the form of burger and hot italian sausage. That chitt cost money to get made.

I'm glad someone did well.
I got skunked.
The monster snow storm that hit Western NY in Nov. made chasing the deer around pretty much impossible.
