cool! I've decided I might have to enter a .270 in the PD shoot, just to annoy people  Your a little late... .270 tied for 3rd, last year. planning on bringing it again this year. Might even enter a dirty-dirty in the PD shoot! You might just win it, Randy. A couple of years ago, at Sierra Vista, I won it with my Contender Carbine in .30-40 Krag with a 4x Burris mini scope on it.  Ed

but, I never heard of a 'Negroshooter'! I never heard of a "Negro" until just a few years ago.

I never heard of a "Negro" until just a few years ago. Back when I was young, it was on all forms that you filled out to designate race. Caucasian, Negro, Oriental, and maybe American Indian. miles

Will the rules to the shooting events be posted? Not many rules. One shot, cold bore, at a small orange prairie dog, with you name on it. You have a better chance to win when you shoot at your dog, but there is always someone that tries another strategy. miles

In my case, the rifle was sited in for min of deer so I had to shoot at another PD (4 PD's on one sheet of paper) to hit my PD.
I just scared my PD is all I did. But had fun.

And you had a 1 inch red dot on the PD, that was for the win at
200-250 yards.

Will the rules to the shooting events be posted? Sure. They will be written in grease pencil on the head of a straight pin. I will outline each competition with appropriate rules before the Gathering. It will be a short list. I'm still open for suggestions for matches and rules. Ed

Did anyone ever decide if we were going to be able to shoot clays. I know last year we didnt because of the horses.
If we can shoot them, I've got an old thrower I can bring.
Also, Ed have you or someone started the menu?

Also, Ed have you or someone started the menu? Randy, the problem last year was that the clay birds that were brought were the kind that are not horse-safe. We need to find some of the bio-degradable ones that are critter safe.. I have NOT started on the menu(s). I figured we could get started on that at any time now. I don't have a clear idea how many are going to attend, yet. I DO know that we are going to have some newcomers! Ed

Yeah, I knew it had something to do with the clays not being horse-safe. Oh, since Miles is Genes second... he is the enemy! Just because he wishes something, doesnt mean it is going to happen. Of course, things can change...
