No Buc-ee's in San Antonio--------------what one located back towards New Braunfels.
Someone coming down I-35 to the hog hunt needs to stop there and get twenty bags of cheese things for Bob. Anyone from like OHIO.

There's one at Luling, IIRC, about an hour east of San Antonio.

I was gonna stop & get some Beaver nuggets for Ingwe...

Got rifles pretty well lined up here today. Gusting crosswind made groups challenging, but I decided to load the 60 gr Nosler Partitions for the bull barrel AR, as it seem to like them pretty well, and they will work on either a cat or hog.

A guy next to me was shooting a .338 Lapua Savage with a brake on it. Also shooting about 6 inch groups smirk The .475 Turnbull out-shot it...

Been watching the weather forecast ( weather always turns to crap when I go hunting..) and I think I have it figured out....theres at least 4 popular weather sites on the net.....I just surf each one till I find a forecast I like grin

What a job that must be. To really not know a damn thing and consistently get paid for it......

Gentlemen and idle folk,

having been out of the loop these last four days left me unable to timely return pms for which I hereby like to apologize and like so not able to refute any unwarranted attacks on my person of which there are none, which leaves me feeling left out. No even one joke... Just consideration and kindness from FC, that did not go unnoticed, thank you very much), but even so:

I file a request to the Poobah - to swiftly make available a "hurt feelers report form".

GFYs all and get it out of your systems. We meet soon and Stone Cutter is already afraid.

There was the time in TN when I showed up with a bottle of Becky. I opened it, passed it around, took a splash myself, went off & did something else, turned around 15 minutes later and it was all gone.

We'll have plenty this year, same as last...

If for no other reason, the fact that we will be conducting this shindig a short drive from the well from which Rebecca Creek Whiskey springeth, I cannot fathom how Rockchucker can miss this.

He's probably having a 270 built as we speak.

Just back from the range. I have not shot the 7x57 in at least 3 years (the oryx was last), threw the QD'd scope on and tossed 3 in 3/4" right at 2" high dead center at 100. This with 140 AB's. Done. Decided my foul weather piece will be my CZ 527 Carbine 7.62x39. With Wolf 122 gr copper jacketed HP's it kept 3 inside 1 1/2". Done. Also found some 44 Special loads with the 250 gr Keith (Lyman) at ~1000 fps using HS-6. Will bring along the 3" Smith 624 for close in pig combat. grin
