I have a close relative managing a Buffalo Wild Wings in Sioux City, Iowa. Very good food and very family friendly. I go there every time I'm in SC. The place is always serving to full tables. Got Applebee's beat big time. You might want to rethink that. I'm pretty sure BWW is anti-gun. IIRC, the only folks allowed to carry inside are on duty law enforcement. Fugg 'em Dale

McDonald's for the coffee, and my dog likes their dollar menu. Whataburger makes a better burger. Subway is the only fast food I eat regular if I got a choice much .
Other than those we got a kazillion cheap but really good Tex Mex places.
If we are going to spend Applebee's rates we got excellent Thai, Korean, Greek, Indian and Chinese places.
Like Pat said, Applebees (and a bunch of other chains) survive by being where you need to be for something else.
