My neighbor is originally from a large Iowa farm family. I asked him about GMOs. He brought up 2 points: 1. The pesticide residue in the food chain is greatly reduced. 2. His family and friends are not suffering from chemical related illnesses and deaths at nearly the rate that they were 30 years ago.
He does point out that we can't be sure if GMOs have long term consequences, but he said his family has no desire to going back to the good old days of sloshing massive amounts of chemicals.
Broncos are officially the worst team in the nation this year.

The controversy over the GMO sure have boosted the organic market. I hear adds about the organic aisle in the grocery stores and every stor I go into has an organic section. Has helped the farm markets too as they claim no GMO food and people are buying into this latest hysteria.

Three recently deceased doctors applied for admission to Heaven. The admitting angel asked them how they qualified.
"I've delivered ten thousand babies and took care of many of them through their teens," the first doctor said. "Several later contributed much to society."
"Come on in and make yourself at Home," the angel said.
"I've transplanted over a thousand vital organs," the second doctor said, "thereby extending the lives of many who later contributed much to society."
"Come on in and make yourself at Home," the angel said.
"I've established five HMOs," the third doctor said, "and I'm the CEO of three."
"Come on in," the angel said, "for three days."

There is a large organic farm east of here. He's had to remove part of his acres from organic because of elk. They feed on his fields and their droppings leave weed seeds which are impossible to hoe out. He has to spray them out and it takes several years after that to recertify the land as organic. He could lose 5 years of organic sales because of it. The only alternative is to leave the land fallow for several years and keep plowing down the weeds. That's even more expensive.
Meanwhile, he's been working with the IDFG to keep the elk out.

I would worry much more about the reduction in nutrient density in modern highly improved produce varieties than GMO's. By a long shot.

There are VERY limited tags so far. He might have got a free landowner tag but that's only 1 elk. I wonder if he's a vegan.

I guess that farmer needs to look at cost of fencing them out vs. loss of organic crop revenue.
I don't know how much land he farms, how high a fence it would take and the cost involved.

so, it's obvious that the elk prefer the organic foods. Do they know something about GMO that we don't?

Who the fu*k is Dr.Oz , and who cares anyway Don't be a Mannlicker From his wiki page: Oz has been a professor at the Department of Surgery at Columbia University since 2001.[13] He directs the Cardiovascular Institute and Complementary Medicine Program at New York-Presbyterian Hospital.[14] His research interests include heart replacement surgery, minimally invasive cardiac surgery, and health care policy. In 2009, Oz joined Jeffrey T. Arnold as co-founder of Sharecare, Inc.,[15] providing an interactive question and answer platform that allows industry experts to answer health-related questions. Oprah is another fuucking idiot...
I can't imagine that's the case. Don't know anyone, never heard anyone say they wanted some of that. Even when really, really drunk. The idiot part I wouldn't argue for a second.
