Reasoning behind this :

Stock blade for chores - boxes, letters, paper, fruit, ...

Main blade - stays sharp.

Knife in its kind is inconspicious enough and legal in just about any jurisdiction.

Wait a minute - this darling Zancudo Mosquito journeys all the way across the Atlantic, but doesn't warrant being your EDC?

That, Sir, is a call out, if I ever had one...

I will have you know, that little Zancudo has been around the block as a EDC - twice, that is.

It is just so, that there are so many orange handled knives and so few days...

Somebody mistakenly told that dude he could write.

I'd rather hit my toes with a hammer.

Yes, that period writing can get tedious. He wasn't the only one. But hell, what do I know, to me, Hemingway was horrible.

Buck Stockman...

[Linked Image]

That's a great knife.

A buck Stockman was my every day pocket knife for years. Bought it at the West Berlin PX in 1972. The corners wore holes in my fatigue pockets and I lost that knife three times, but each time it found its way back to me. Once lost it in the Bavarian woods and a couple of days later a guy in the platoon said he'd found a knife just outside our tent. I described it completely and he said it must be mine and handed it to me.

Great little knife with three very useful blades. And they stay Sharp with a capital S. It stays out on my reloading/work bench these days and still gets used quite a lot.

Speaking of Randalls:

[Linked Image]

technically Chronologically it does not go with a Walker, but I usually tote it when carrying a muzzleloader. Finished a pig with it, too.

I have a Model 25 on order, which will arrive sometime this decade... smirk

Been carrying various Victorinox Swiss Army knives my whole life, I just love them.

Recently got an upgrade for a birthday present and I'm liking it. It's the One Handed Trekker NS (non serrated).

Knife in the photo has the serrations, but otherwise it's the same knife.

This is the same knife that the Swiss and German Army both issue, with the exception neither of the military knives have the tweezers and toothpick...just couldn't live without those two little accessories.

It's a model 690 that uses 154 CM it's no longer available so I should probably get something else.

Below are the ones that are used. Usually a folder and a neck knife. They go on as soon as I get dressed.

This was my pocket EDC until I lost it a little while back...still mad at myself about that:

This has taken it's place in the pocket:

The blue Bobwhite is usually around my neck...folder used to be an EDC but I haven't carried it in a while:

When working outside I usually have this Skifa for serious cutting, not a true EDC but gets used hard and often:

My new Swiss Army replaced my old Swiss Army. Since I've been a teen, I've carried a pocket knife every day, and still do today.

I've had a multitude of pocket knives, including Case, CRKT, Kershaw, Buck, Gerber, Spyderco, etc...

But I always come back to the Swiss Army Knife because I use more than just the blades.
