Already there. What people cannot argue with is that I have worked in the same field for almost thirty years, I have worked both union and non-union, some would have me ignore my own experiences and opt to listen to Rush Limbaugh's theories on unions, but all as I know is that in union shops I was always paid better, and treated me better than those I worked non-union. The union shops have always been more successful in spite of having union workers, so I'm not really seeing the problem with being paid better and having a good health plan and decent pension. Somehow Sam thinks he has stuck gold here showing how the union pensions are a bad deal, completely ignoring Wall Street manipulation that caused 401K's to tank a few years back. No pension plan is totally safe, the only safe retirement is rental property.
If only there was a way to buy your own insurance, or invest in your own future. BTW, my 22 years experience is exactly opposite from yours. Every union shop I worked for told me to slow down, stop making everyone else look bad. I like the the freedom to work at my own pace, even if it makes lazy fuggers look bad.

All I know is the only person I want talking for me the person that has the most interest in me, and that person is me.
I want to reap the rewards of being me, and be the one responsible for me.
I'll be damned if I'll ever let anyone 'stand' for me.

Unions traditionally exploits the workers as badly as management does. Fat cats sit at the head of the pile, on both sides of the issue.

I've always wondered if someone suggesting I should run for office should be taken as a compliment or an insult I'm voting for Dr. Carson, much better choice than I'd ever be.

I'd run after my kids get outta the house.
Figure I'd get shot, because a lot of what needs to be done won't be popular with dead beats, corporatists, lawyers, alphabet agents and illegals.
Wouldn't take long to turn things around; I figure workers can't strike for gold leafed toilet paper and labor can take their jobs wherever, so long as they know they have import tariffs that make apples, apples, from a financial standpoint.
I'm not a globalist, I'm an American, first and foremost. Be nice if the "leaders" we elect held the same notion.
