Nope, not at all. I suspect/hope he has far more important things to worry about. Ain't fretting him or his, and hope they manage stormy seas (brought upon themselves) well. Not even a contemplation on this one.

This thread causes me anxiety from thinking back on what I used to do with motorcycles.

I still like to twist 'em up a little here and there, but for the most part my need for speed has been quelled.

These days I like to get out on the country roads around the horse farms and just loaf around at 50 mph. There's usually hardly any traffic at all on a lot of them and the roads are kept in good shape because the county government likes to keep the horse farm areas very well maintained.

It's a fairly unique situation. Ride 3 miles out of town and there's a very large, nicely manicured countryside area with miles upon miles of nice two lane roads with hardly any traffic.

This stuff is all over the place.

If the speedo and the tach are to be believed, 177 in a BMW M1. I may have gone a little faster on a turbocharged Suzuki GSX 1100E, but since the speedo was buried and I was trying not to become a smear on the asphalt, I'm not sure. I do know that I had such an adrenalin buzz after it lifted the front wheel at 150 plus, I had a hard time finding the kick stand when I stopped.

On a bike...Fast enough on the back to blow the the silver stuff off my dumb azzz buddies silver Porsche jacket back in my face. I looked at the needle and it was buried at 140. At that point I closed my eyes.

In a car. 911S. Could not snatch a Benjamin off the dash through the gears. As I recall top speed was about 150.

In the Popeyes offshore speed boat. Crazy fast!!

Atlanta Motor speedway in a NASCAR ride along promotion. Sick fast about 200+!!

Where I was driving. My own Porsche 911 turbo. 150 plus. Was the only time I felt safe.

car made a LOT of hp. and was light as hell, 2300 with me in it, 425c/i dart motor. first kit was a 38 jet on the fogger then a 102 on a induction solutions plate. problem was traction i didnt have the fancy electronics they have now with traction control etc, just a Digital 7 msd box, it got spirited when the 2nd kit came on. I only had the car at the track 3 times before i sold it, but its out on the east coast now, kicking ass on the street for BIG money.

Friend in Reading, Pa. has a "punk out" mustang. Must be street legal.

Put up $24,000 each. Third party holds the money. Heads up one run at the track winner takes home the $$$$$.

If either party doesn't show for ANY reason automatic loss and forfeits $14,000.

Runs high 6s

Snowmobiles will do 100mph.

155 in my 68 GTO on a closed (not open yet) freeway stretch. Got pretty light in the front the last 20 mph or so.

Somewhere between 135 and 140 on a V45 Magna still in 4th gear with a couple more gears to go on an old country 2 lane. Once I realized how foolish I was being, I drove back slowly and gave my BIL his bike back and haven't ridden since. Just don't have any self control on a bike- I always want to fly.

168-169 several times, on motorcycles. Miss track days

One thing about bikes, a lot have spedos that are way off, especially the older ones. And guaranteed to be off if they changed sprockets to gear it lower. Drag raced a buddy, me on a 929RR (stock), him on a Gixxer 750 (geared) - he redlined in 6th showing 172 while my speedo said 130. He stopped there and I kept speeding up. Don't take all videos for face value. That Busa isn't going anywhere near indicated.

A few months ago, after 25 odd years of casually looking, I found a RZ 500 for sale--in MA, on Craigslist of all places. I called right away, but it had been sold an hour prior. Maybe a good thing, but if I find a RG 500 Gamma one of these days, it's coming home with me.

made it from Marina Del Ray to Las Vegas in under 3 hours and stopped in Death Valley for breakfast. Normally with traffic the trip is almost 5 hours @ 325+ miles.

I remember cresting the pinnacle hill with the odometer pegged at 160 and on the down hill it took about 30 seconds to start dropping. Had to be going 230+.

There were 4 of us...2 women... in one of those Toyota Supra Turbos. Was a round robin where one drove until the other was pulled over. We went through rotation twice.

Back then who cared. The freaking women were NUTS!!

By all accounts we 4 should be dead! eek

Posted By: Seafire Re: How fast have you gone? - 06/12/15
Fastest thing I ever drove, was in College, when I worked in North Georgia over the summer, we had a customer who lived over in Dalton... was attached to Hurst Shifters which use to be based over there back then...

I rode with one guy escorting a house trailer to East St Louis Ill, and then was to pick up a 71 ZL1 Camero for him and drive it back to North Georgia...

had a roll bar in it, racing seats with straps like in a P51 for seat belts... the spare tire was mounted where a back seat should have been... opened the trunk and the entire thing was the gas tank...

supposedly had an LS 7 454 Chevy under the hood...stayed with the guy who brought me up there until we got to Nashville...he decided to spend the night there... I headed back down to Chattanooga, and North Georgia...

Went down I 24, turned the dash lights down real low, put some CCR on the 8 Track, put it in 4th, and put the hammer down...

its 110 miles to Chattanooga, and I covered that, to include going over Mount Eagle in less than 55 minutes...

still at that speed, you hit the accelerator and that puppy's nose lifted up and the acceleration pushed you back in the seat..

could believe how heavy the clutch spring was on that thing...
car was street legal........ supposedly

called the guy Sunday morning, and he came and got it... gave me $250 for going to get it.. they claimed the car would do something like 175 or so... I didn't push it that far at all...

it had those front and rear spoilers on it, at the faster you went, the better it handled.... at 90 or so, it was like a big hand just planted it down on the road...

ZX10 Way north of 3 digits
900RR Way north of 3 digits

Bright yellow motorcycles do not have stealth capabilities. It's really difficult to explain away 110 mph on a back country road to law enforcement.

Sticky Dunlops and hot pavement make the front brake problematic at speed in the desert.

I roll on a vintage V65 now and find it prevents me from getting into so much trouble.

That is, if the speed limiting device in my Hayabusa works perfectly. I've held it WFO for long periods of time out on the open interstate and you can't feel anything that indicates that it's not still pulling.

By design it works off rpms in 6th gear. There's a device available that tricks it into thinking its in 5th gear which allows you to a obtain the top speed of about 220 but I never felt the need for that.

I seem to never ride the Busa anymore anyway as I prefer the Harley these days.

Fastest (in terms of top speed) bike I ever owned was an '88 750 Ninja, it would hit a bit over 140. I did that a number of times. One time I was on it doing somewhere well over a 100 on Hwy 54 between El Paso and Alamogordo following a "pigeon" (a car that is speeding, he gets the ticket). Sure enough red and blue lights appear in the on-coming lanes and I wound it down ready to stop, but the Cop waved me off and got the car instead.

'Nother time, same bike, somewhere in Tennessee coming back from Quebec. BEAUTIFUL young woman in a white Ford Probe (a hot car at the time), long dark hair, cruise control, short skirt, knees drawn up/feet on the seat, dancer's legs. She smiles and waves (this reaction from women was not unusual with that bike) I drop back some distance, downshift and do the 'ol screaming pass at 135 (most that bike would do with luggage) and then weave from side to side, scraping pegs (you know, the ol' courtship display). She pulls out a camera and takes my photo from the fast lane, me sitting sideways on the bike, helmet off.

But.... anything over 95 on a bike felt sorta pointless. A weird combination of boredom and fear. At high speeds the road in front unfolds rapidly like a video game, and all you hear is the roar of the wind. Not much you can do but point it down the middle and hope there ain't a dead possum or something in the road. By the time you wound down back to 80 or so from 140, it felt like you were going so slow you could get off and walk.

Curves in the road and the navigation thereof is what counts on a motorcycle, and there's very few curves on legal highways that can be taken at faster than 80. That and the "monkey screwing a football" riding position was the reason I never did buy another sportbike.

I'm old enough to know better, so last year I chickened out at 100 in my '68 Chevelle SS. Even though the suspension all new, it still has that old wishy washy feel to it at higher speeds.

120 plus in a AH 3000 going over Altamont pass with a crazy woman driving.

120 or so in a CHP police interceptor on Treasure Island in San Francisco Bay with an idiot driving until we ran out of island and crashed.

About 140. Too fast to stop as fast if needed.

Somewhere between 150 and 160 in a car.

Not sure about a bike. Couldn't bring myself to look down.

I hit 110 once in a Pontiac Bonneville, going uphill. Fear outweighed the fun and I didn't try that again.

Once I got into jets, speed on land didn't interest me. I've done 1,000 at altitude, and 350 knots on the deck. By which I mean under 50 feet. Things kinda whiz by, ya know?

Top of the morning to you Don, I trust this still Friday morning finds you well sir.

Way back when we'd just had our two horses for about a week, the Appy mare my wife was riding that night was being an Appy and not listening real well.

Being as that I was in my 30's then and a fair bit thicker mentally, I suggested we just swap horses and I'd teach the Appy a thing or two.

Did I mention that this Appy line from a ranch one valley to the west get the color from a Thoroughbred line Don?

Well sir I said to the recalcitrant mare that if she wanted to run we'd just do that so I kicked her into gear on the edge of the road towards home.... I know, I know - so much stupid in one place right?

I'd been on what I'd considered fast horses before that and I thought I could ride. After I finally got the mare hauled down to a stop I thought I'd never get on another horse in my life and honestly was barely able to walk I was shaking so badly.... blush

Once we got used to each other a bit better I'd let her loose on some safe stretches of sage brush hillside above our house. One memorable evening we ran across the neighbor and his expensive endurance Arab "Falala" or something like that. He said it was fast - me and the Appy were a whole lot faster than him and Falala.... wink

Some day I'd love to have a coffee and a couple hours to swap stories with you Don - I do believe we'd have a grand time.

To Sean's initial question though, I had a Canadian built Pontiac A body - '71 T37 that had a mildly modified 283 in it and a 3.07 rear end. We did the math - tire diameter and engine rpm and we should have been about 132mph - it was enough that the steel cords stuck out of my Sears radials anyway. frown

Pretty pedestrian compared to most of the posters here I see, but I can still remember feeling wobbly legged after letting that Appy be all she could be. grin

All the best to you this weekend Don.

Not really sure. I think about 110 ... which ain't slow on mud tires. When I'm going fast I'm not looking at the needle I'm looking out the window.

Speed does not kill. Sudden stops kill.

Impact with cows in the highway kills.

Driving back to Wisconsin in 2001 in the 450SL I cruised at 140 for about half an hour on I-94. Speed limit in Montana then was "reasonable and prudent". A state trooper passed me along the way, looked at me, looked at my car, nodded, and sped on. He must have been doing 160 in that police interceptor.

240km/hr, or 149mph on the A6/Germany, a long stretch of wide open, no traffic, no-limit road. The car had been to 220km/hr a few times, just wanted to see how fast she'd go before feeling light.

'01 Audi A4 V6/S-line edition, euro-spec car. Miss that car. Actually enjoyed it more than current us-spec S4.
Had a CJ5 that had a built up V6 in it. The speedo went to 90. Had the needle over past the end, in the gas gauge.

Figure I must have been going at least 120 in that short wheel based jeep. The steering was awfully quick.

Scares the crap out'a me to think about it now...

Also had a Kawasaki 1000. It would do over 100 in third gear. Had it to 135 in fifth.

Been on the A6 a couple times near the CZ side.

Positive. Our family hauler wasn't that cool (but it didn't break down as much, either).

I do know that if you lay all the seats down, you can pile 17 high school kids in the back and three in the front with the driver in order to get to (or get the Hell away from) a party that you shouldn't be at to begin with.
I hit 160 mph at Daytona. Here is vid from my goprohero3 on my rear window. I tried to embed this, no worky.

I also hit 160 at Talladega.

On a bike trip with my bro. a couple years ago, we were heading into the Grand Canyon . My bro ahead of me on my old Guzzi, I was on my Thruxton.
I missed a turn in Flagstaff or Williams ( don't remember where we got separated). By the time I hit the straight shot up to the canyon I was way behind.
I was rolling along a little over 100 and watching headlights in my mirrors. The headlights gaining on me little by little. I pulled up to my bro. just as a young gal in a blue Plymouth Neon talking on her phone and smoking a cigarette blew by.
My bro. had pulled over and he was putting on more clothes.
I got a good laugh outta that.

Somewhere I have a printout, as I recall I clocked 76. The surprising thing is it was a small resort esentially a beginner intermediate hill but they had a speed skiing event and I just had to try it. It was a warm spring day and I waxed wrong as I figured I should have been able to break 80. The guy who won went over 90 which amazed me for such a short hill. The real fun was having my ski pop off on the runout after my last run, doing a faceplant and sliding a long way.

Fastest in 4 wheels was 130 per speedo.

I've got a 2000 Freightliner with a C-12 Cat and I think that truck is 425hp. 18 speed Fuller. The guy that I bought it from said he doesn't know what it's set for, but he had it up to 100. I sure hope none of my guys have tried to find out how fast it'll go.

I had a '68 with a 351 Cleveland. I paid $75.00 for it. It had no hubcaps and ran on about 6 or 7 cylinders (7 on a good day) and it was slow as chitt. But it got me to where I needed to go instead of hitchhiking.

WOW!
My M power BMW 323i, with B6 2.8l 300ps conversion, would cruise at 160. Took it to 180 once, and it scared me too much. Going from a normal 140 -160 cruising speed to 180, is a big jump in how quick things come at you.

Hell, I thought someone would call BS (they'd be wrong) on the 140ish in the Olds wagon.

Momentum and downhill with tonnage is a SOB. Damned car seemed to glide and handle REALLY well once it got to and over 110, though.
Posted By: 4ager Re: How fast have you gone? - 06/12/15
Scariest is a tie: 100+ (speedometer topped at 85) in a CJ7 with no top or doors and 31.5" tires on the interstate, and about 100 in a lifted 1984 Nissan pickup (33.5" tires; 4" lift) that came over the railroad grade and tracks and launched about 30' before touching down. In both cases: very NOT smart.

He was afraid of it and didn't drive it much, so he was looking for a drive. He knew I raced motorcycles from time to time so he asked me to come give it a shot.

I might have hit around 110-120, but GOOD LORD that thin scared the living chit out of me. When I dumped the clutch and hit the gas it felt like God was ripping the world in half. I think I was up over 100mph in about two seconds and it was everything I could do to keep it straight. I let off, and let it coast to a stop, got out and said no thanks. You'd think a 16 year old kid would be all up for that, but it was way more excitement than I needed in my life at that time.

I drove by his house about 10 years ago, the trailer is still in the back of his driveway. He never got a sponsor, never got a driver, and apparently never sold it. Kinda sad.

Wow, I'm not in the same sprint class as you kids, but can claim some pretty good average times point to point.
Top single run speed is only about 125 or so, but one time my dad (retired ADC) and I made it from Pugetopia to the Flathead with an average speed of 86.2 mph. We would have gone faster but there were 3 or 4 WSP aerial copz we saw or heard on the radio, or the laser and radar detectors went off.
Top speed on a bike is also in the 120, basically a redlined KZ750E, I did that only after spending a bunch of aftermarket money on suspension goodies and V-rated meats. Before that, the headshake and weave was not exactly confidence-inspiring.
Unmarked 69 Mercury patrol interceptor 150 and got cold feet, officer that it was assigned to said it would do 165.Some fast cruisers 1967 to 1971.

Worked the interstate from 67 to 89 125 mph was hit several times a day to overtake violators.

Speed is the only thing I miss about police work, well that and free doughnuts. grin GW

somewhere over 170 on the Atlanta Motor speedway.. probably 180+ on the back straight

Been over 110 on a go kart at Daytona speedway( interesting being 1" off the ground)..

165 in a firebird ram air
All these claims of these speeds, but for how long ?
Did you just see the speedo hit it and back out or did you hold , and for how long ?
Autobahn speeds are held at those numbers for long periods of times as your cruising from one place to another.
Seen many an American car on the side, with a blown motor, cuz they can't maintain those kind of rpm's or speed for very long.

And how accurate is that?

People have quoted speeds that accurately tested cars with more horsepower and better aerodynamics have trouble matching.
55mph

On a Vitus road bike, coming down the Cuesta Grade. Wearing nothing but Lycra, on tires about as wide as my pinky. 54-12 gearing.

Once, and never to be attempted again...

100 mph was fast enough for me on a friends Kawasaki 350.

Drove my 70 Mustang to about 135 as estimated by the friend I passed who was cruising at 120 in a Torino.

Rode to about 140 with a friend in a 70 Camaro.

140-150 probably a dozen times on two wheels, scariest was 145 with the girlfriend on back behind me one time with the wind gusting around 30mph. Crazy back in those days, that bike felt like it was hydroplaning - I think I'm old enough not to do that again....I hope.

Would you be happy with 135 MPH for 40/ 50 mile runs on US interstates. Never blew a motor in any of my American branded cruisers. Glad I wasn't paying for the gas as you could see the gauge hand fall running at those speeds late sixties and early seventies. Only thing I ever had to smoke me was a Super Bee. Little bugger would run. GW

Same for me. A 1979 T/A 6.6. I did it on a city road too! Never come close to that since.

Around 170 in a 1965 Chrysler 300L with special order 1964 Stage III 426 Max Wedge with cross ram intake with dual Carter AFB's and factory headers and high flow exhaust. White with red interior. What a ride!! I oughta be shot for not still having that car.

175-180 in a 1970 Plymouth Superbird with balanced/blueprinted/tweaked 440 Six Pack and other goodies. This one belonged to a friend. I could have bought it for around 10-Grand at one time. I oughta be kicked for that one too.

God-only-knows how fast (140-150? Maybe more?) in Pappy's 1958 Chrysler New Yorker with built and tweaked 392 Fire Power Hemi with dual-quad intake, carbs and headers off a 300. It was black and all us kids called it the "Bat-Mobile". Had a lot of good times with Pappy (my Grandfather) in that car. After he passed away in '63, my uncle Bill got the car and kept it. He wasn't afraid to occasionally run Hell out of it either. Loved to dust off late 60's/early 70's muscle cars with it. He sold it in early 80's and I wasn't in a position to buy it then.

145-150 on my 1980 Kawasaki KZ1000 Shaft with Vetter Quicksilver fairing. It would supposedly go 160+ in this configuration, but I didn't have the cojones to take it there.

158 (by radar) in my '99 Honda Civic Si that I had tuned on some. Damn fun little car.

A little over 140 (RPM limited) in my 2000 Ford F250 Super Duty with the good ol' 7.3L Diesel with the Bully Dog chip set on "Performance". It got there way quicker than I'd have ever imagined. It would even do it in the "Towing" position, just took longer to get there.

152 (by radar) and still climbing in the last Mopar I built, in 2001. A '69 Plymouth Satellite. I yanked the 383 and put in a hot 440 Six Pack I built and a reworked 727 TorqueFlite. A friend owns this car. I did the engine/drivetrain and he did all the body/paint/interior. We've had a lot of fun with this one.

I got to ride in this car once, in the middle of the night. We made a lap around Atlanta, Georgia, on the I-285 loop. I sat on a couple of wooden Coca Cola crates turned upside down on the floorboard on the passenger side. This is a Ferrari Daytona 365 GTB4. It was owned and raced by my uncle Jim Baker. This pic was taken during a pit-stop at Watkins Glen in '74. The car was HOT, LOUD, and FAST! Gives me a woody remembering that ride. In the pic below, that's Uncle Jim, on the left, with the silver hair leaning over. The text below the pic appeared in an article in Hemmings Motor News about the Ferrari 365 GTB4 racers.

Image 3 of 7: ''Chuck Reynolds is in the Baker Motor Company Daytona as it makes a pit stop during the Watkins Glen Six Hours in July 1974. Jim Baker was the big sports car dealer in Atlanta, and was actually my next-door neighbor when I first moved there. Chuck was Jim's sales manager. I bought a couple of cars from him. Tony DeLorenzo co-drove with Chuck at the Glen. The car had a Ferrari engine that was built by Holman Moody, the NASCAR Ford specialists, or so Tony told me. They finished 13th, but it was so hot that only 10 cars were classified as having actually finished the race. Tony told me, 'That was the hottest and loudest car I ever drove. It burned off the right side of my right driving shoe. But what a beautiful sound. The Ferrari ran like Jack the Bear, but it also handled and stopped like the Queen Mary.' ''

140 in my '57 Chevy, felt like the front tires weren't even touching the ground. A few seconds later, I was going backwards at about 120 or 130, down an embankment. Didn't hurt me or the car a bit, other than the s#!t on the drivers seat.

Here's an interesting one...

On October 9, 2013, Combs drove the North American Eagle (NaE) Supersonic Speed Challenger at the Alvord desert, claiming the women's land speed record with an official run of 392.954 mph (632 km/h) and a top speed of 440.709 mph (709 km/h). In doing so, she broke the 48-year-old women's land speed record, a 308.51 mph run average, set by Lee Breedlove in 1965.

Not done anything of merit, but I got a kick out of Leno one evening when he was discussing a jet powered bike in his stable. He never mentioned top end, but said the real rush was simply getting off and realizing that one was still alive.

If one wants accuracy for their measures, use a GPS unit. Very accurate, and they will have the details available for download.

45 on a bicycle going down hill.

Had a 72 Challenger pegged when the blacktop turned to gravel road.

Spooky both...
I chickened out at 100. Even though the suspension and steering is all new, it still gets a little "wishy washy" at higher speeds.

Beautiful car. I'm sure there's still plenty of fun to be had the slower speeds. wink
I had a '68 GTO that I took to 140 many times.

'78 Trans Am that got there quite a few also.

I'm only alive by God's grace.

Just over 150 indicated on a Yamaha FJ 1200
Just over 140 indicated in a 1962 Chrysler 300H. This was on bias ply tires.
Both instances were when I was still producing testosterone. Today neither of my motorcycles will do much over 120 and my car is doing all it can at 100. GD

8.53 @ 160 mph in the 1/4 in my Rear Engine Dragster back in the 97. Tons of similar runs.

9.70's @ 138 in my Duster in 2001 all motor (No power adders)

A legit 185 mph plus on my old Hayabusa that was indicating over 200.

None of that compared to being on a wheelie on my R1 about 10 years ago and looking at the speedometer...153 and had to wait for the hill to pass before I set it down (another few hundred yards at least) So in other words I rolled it up in first, shifted through the gears to 5th and set it down however far that takes. Sometimes you just get a hold of the tiger and can't just let go smile

I have a 800 plus HP street car now with a F1C Procharged 364" iron block LS engine (full aftermarket built internals AFR heads ect) and my greatest amount of effort in a lot of ways to date. Planning on over 200 in the Texas Mile and 9's in the 1/4. 100% street car with AC and all. Looks fairly mild too.

Before I hear anything about being crazy...I am an speed freak going back a very long ways. Pretty much don't do any of that stuff on the road.

Did a lot of track days at Texas World Speedway's Road course on my R1 and FZ1's. Hardest thing I think I have done is ride a fully loaded KTM 950 Adventure over Engineer Pass from Lake City to Silverton. Never worked so hard to stay upright as that going less than 10 mph. It was Engineer or the one where you turn on the south side of town and go to Silverton. I have been back in the FJ and I forget which one is which.

Edit. The KTM ride I mentioned is Cinnamon Pass I believe looking at the maps. If you head south out of Lake City and turn right along the river...that one!

Mach 2+ in a slick F-4. I never wound out a Tomcat to max speed because with the TF-30's and non-centerline thrust, if you had a burner blowout it could turn sideways and come apart shocked

In a car... 140 in a '67 327/350 horse Vette. It was a bit twitchy

In the air, I don't know how fast we were going but I was flying with Georgio Perfetti who owns Mento's Candies in Italy. We were flying to the Missoula gun show in his private jet, a Beachcraft Premier. At one point he put it into a verticle climb of 10,000 feet per minute. I don't know how fast that is, but I did start to black out about the time he pulled it out of the climb.

The fastest in my GTO was about 132 mph chasing a Porsche Carrera down the frontage road past our house. I didn't know how fast we were going, when we stopped he told me. At that rate of speed, you do not take your eyes off the road. I wouldn't do me any good to look at the speedometer anyhow, it only goes to 120...

Marvin Royal if I remember his name correctly (an AMS2 from the Midway) claimed they held the record for a VERY LONG while at sea level. I was with him at an A-6 Squadron later but one of their Phantoms with his old squadron laid down some serious speed on the deck. He said it ruined most of the ECM leading edge panels and leading edge tape was pretty much torn a new one but that beast proved with enough THRUST even a brick was stupid fast.

God bless the '77-'83 Kawi liter bikes, particularly if it was a Z-1R series or an '83 1000R Eddie Lawson replica. I am missing one bike for my vintage 70s-mid-80s Japanese muscle bike collection, and it's one of those two.

Going to the 12 Hours of Sebring race from Melbourne, FL I have gone many total miles on back roads at 150 in my old 1986 Porsche Turbo. Maybe 10 years and no accidents and no tickets. My current car is an Audi S6 and I have only had it up to 140 on clear stretches on I25 between Denver and Colorado Springs. It is electronically limited to 155, but Audi says it would hit 190 mph without the limit. Car and Driver timed the Audi S6 0-60 time at 3.7 seconds.

yeah there is a local guy around here that builds that and a bunch of other custom things that goes fast......

on the flip side, no matter how fast I've gone in a car or other vehicle, the guys I think are nuts are the speeds that some of those guys hit in Europe on a Bicycle on some of those races coming down off of a mountain in the Alps....

Like 70 something mph, on bike wheels as thin as a razor blade...
and the closest thing to your nuts is a metal bar, which would be no fun if one of those tires blew... whistle
