I get a big kick out of seeing pics folks share here, be they of family, food, outdoors stuff or most anything, really. Maybe it's just me but it seems like its been a little more sour than usual here. Love to check out some of what folks here have been doing, or seeing.
Is that a Simply ??? garlic concoction that's Mrs KG is drinking? Might be apple??
OK, well you fail the southerner test my friend.
Unsweetened iced tea with lemon and lots of ice. Garlic? lol.
lmao when a southerner dont recognize iced tea.
Well it don't look like iced tea and did not think of ice. And here I was all excited about the possibility of something new. Dang! You have to admit you and yours have put up some fairly interesting items. And Roger...well!! But I came up with some good drink ideas though. I even thought of pears...
OH WAIT!!! It ain't SWEET tea!! That's what threw me!! No 2 cups of standing sugar in the bottom of the jug!!
Neat. Cutthroat, maybe? Pretty lil' gummer, whatever his lineage. One of my all time favorite fishing outings is chasing wee wild brookies in fall, taken in crystal clear mountain streams. The colors are unreal.
I have loads of great times and shots in the three weeks I have been here in Idaho. Problem is I am without internet service so running on 4G via a recently purchased iPhone. I have yet to figure out how to run from photos to Photobucket to iPhone. It has been unseasonably hot and we are enjoying the new ATV's. Off for brunch in the Cabinet's tomorrow AM.
For my iPhone I downloaded the photobucket app. In the app you choose upload. Select the pics you want to upload. After uploading it lets you choose the img code. It is under a little 'I' button for each picture within the photobucket app.
Yeah simple... I somehow managed $10+ billion dollar projects and now can't manage myself through a doorway. My admin girls spoiled me just as I did them. It'll come in time I am sure. I am having a second "garage" built up here and learned that the builder could not start until about when we planned to head back south. Damn. Dear wife reminds me that I don't HAVE to leave. I think I will hang out for another month.
This a great thread. Even though I'm working, looking at these pictures has made my day.
Because I'm a new guy, I never figured out how to post pictures. When I was on the hog hunt with some of you fine gentlemen, you tried to explain to me how to post pictures. After seeing all of these pics, I decided to go into photobucket and set up an account. My question is, how do I copy my pictures over to photobucket. It said to drag them over, but my PC wants to simply move them to photobucket. I want to leave them in the PC and just copy them over to photobucket. You have to bear with me because I'm very computer illiterate.

Select a photo in your PB account and run your cursor over it. On the lower left corner of the pic three lines appear, put your cursor on those and above them will appear a list...move the cursor up to "Share Links" and click on it. A box or window will open up with another list on the right hand side. Move your cursor to the "IMG" box, push 'control' button on your keyboard, hold it down and click on "IMG" The box changes to yellow to confirm you got the pic. When you come back to your reply post, press 'control ' button again, hold it and click next to the blinking line in the reply box.... Check your transmission by previewing your reply.

Monsoon building this afternoon while on the lake catching fish. We bailed as it formed over the top of us.
I killed my first buck over 40 years ago up on those mesas, camped in the old 1800s homestead cabin or what was left of it, my buddy still tells how ridiculous I looked carrying that buck out on my shoulders as we wanted to hang it up whole so everyone could see... It weighed more than my 140 gutted.
NICE PICS Hugh W... been too long since I've been up in the Maritimes... wonderful place with wonderful folks...
gotta admit, soft spot for PEI....use to spend a lot of time up that way... couple times every summer and once or twice in the fall taking in the foliage changing colors...
Thanks for this Leyton; I always really enjoy your pics & stories as well as those from our other friends here.
I did some of this earlier this week:
The fresh cut hay made for great shooting practice for Wyoming out to 400! Life is good... Then vacation... I'm extremely blessed that way... Not as distant as your own New England like we did last year, but Hocking County in SE Ohio where we rented a cabin for the week. This morning we hiked Old Man's Cave State Park as a family this morning:

Ihookem, this really is the greatest country on Earth.
Ya know Sam, that reminds me when my wife went to Taichung, Taiwan to visit our daughter that lives there. She is an English teacher. My wife gets there and total culture shock. Might as well been on Mars. It stinks of pollution, latrines and sences , spices and noise.. When we pull into the garage she says " I love America" Never knew how good she had it. My daughter is home for 4 weeks now . Got home Thursday. I think she is liking it here more than she thought. Her allergies are gone and we have Taco Bells!!! Our pastor says he's been everywhere. Insists there is no place on earth like the U.S.A..
Ihookem, this really is the greatest country on Earth.
You got that right, my man.
Continuing to enjoy the pics. Good stuff, y'all!
A funny thing happened yesterday. Took a wrong turn trying to get to a store in NH yesterday and while driving through a small, quiet residential area, drove past a bike with a for sale sign on it. I recognized the machine, a mid-80s Interceptor, and backed up. An hour later it was in my garage. That the paint scheme is red, white and blue and I bought it on the 4th, as well as the fact that the bike wears my family name, well, God bless America.
Thanks, Poobs. Life is too short to go through it pissed off, working non-stop or just without stopping often to take the time to enjoy oneself, I always say.
Plus, no one on their deathbed was ever heard to utter, 'damn it, I wish I'd worked more...'

Just had time to catch up with some more of the pics. You're knocking it outa' the pahk with the venny and clams, brother. My mom was asking about you yesterday, actually. She referred to you as 'thon nice lad frae Connecticut with the wee beard'.
Hope summers gone by is suitable fare. This was taken on my spread in Bridgewater, NY some years ago. Shame a fellow can't make a living raising dandelions and woodchucks, we had bunches of both.
Some fruits from the garden. Leighton, that Interceptor is a cool find. 700? A coworker used to have one in the same paint scheme, unique sound with Kerkers too.
This year I'm going to try some fried green tomatoes for sure. First ones should be ready in a week or two at most. Yours like tasty. Any tricks to the game, or is it pretty straightforward?
I'm no expert at them, but just have to do them each year. Those I s/p'rd, dusted in Ma Se Ca ( the corn flour you make tortillas and sopes with ), fried in butter and oil. Had leftover dredge, so made a sopes and topped with mozzarella and an avocado slice. Was pretty tasty.

Nice ride, KG. And Congrats on a 4th of July find. Seems very appropriate.
Here's a pic of one exactly like I had back in the early 80's. Only difference, mine had a Kerker 4 into 1, instead of the Vance & Hines.
Granddaughter measured the ice cream ingredients, crushed the crackers for the fish and ate 3 pieces hot out of the pan helping Ugly 'Ol Pappy cook. She was planning on eating all the fish before anyone else got some.

LOL!! Your wee mither nailed it again, Leighton!
Ed, great pics of great eats... can't wait to eat some more of your venny kebabs one of these fine summer days!
Well, here's part of how we spent the Independence Day weekend... here in Bahstahn Hahbah on a local cruiser for dinner & dancing with The Redhead and her youngest son, who at 15 is still growing (6'6" and 315) and a budding future left tackle for the Horned Frogs, his mama fervently hopes.

Doc, you will have to explain to me one day how you get all the good looking ones!
Just cause you are "The Most Interesting Man in the World"......

I rest my case...
Thanks for the compliments, Poobs. I think she's pretty cute, glad to know someone agrees.
Just took this about five minutes ago. (in the edge of the timber about 20yrds from my vegetable garden) It's so hot here the Deer won't even move when you walk up on em for a photo op. Surely that qualify's as a summertime photo.
Thank you all for sharing. Bloody well done all around. Except for you, 'Flave. Christ man, you blew a perfect opportunity to share a real education with your chilluns via a weekend in a place with character, like Lagos. There's a trip for the kids that would've truly been unforgettable. Handsome young folks though. Mailman?

Kids aren't interested in real educations you Asian fugk! They're interested in Disneyworld and waiting for dad to pass out on the beach.

We ended up with a half dozen or so of these small bass. Looks like the Spring run has fizzled out with bigger fish migrating up the line to the L-Man's stomping grounds. Time to switch to Fluke and Sea Bass fishing.

I think you've got it right, buddy. Big slug of schools of 30+ pounders in now, but bigger news has taken away from them: the tuna are in. 21 giants taken in one day on the bank mid-week. Let the games begin.
Seabass are so fun to catch. Drop jigs on their heads, bang 'em up. If you miss a hookest, no big deal. Those greedy little buggers will often hit again and again until you the steel bites them. You able to get in on a few, or still no playing yet for you?
Drifting jigs with squid strips? The old salts in these parts often use belly strips of the first keeper to bait the jigs with for the rest of the day. Sounds crazy, but it works. Really.
Thanks again for the great thread here KG; been fun riding along w/ so many here for summer adventures!
I agree! That #2 shot of yours is just fantastic, efw. Looks like caverns and/or caves in limestone of something similar, maybe? How beautiful! Any details of the place?
Yeah we vacationed in Hocking County, Ohio this year. No where near as "exotic" (to us anyway) as your area was last summer, but an amazingly scenic area with more sights to see than we could hope to in 5 days!
There are waterfalls, caverns, canyons, and just all around gorgeous scenery! We stayed in a lovely cottage right in the heart of the area. It was wonderfully refreshing!
Sometimes I smoke them, or pickle them. But mostly I just find a hole to bury them in. It's illegal to C&R pike in most areas south of the AK range but you dont have to eat them.

Mine will arrive in a month or so when I wrap up three months here on the mountain. I am running marginally here on an iPhone. Quite simply, it has been more than great for the past six weeks.

Duuuuuuude. Go get yourself some of that Ballast Point Grapefruit Sculpin! I cannot find it often around here, but when I do, I buy every bit that I find!
My wife and I played tour guide in Italy for my brother and sister-in-law's first trip. We packed a lot into 1 week. We stayed in Florence and visited San Marino, Bologna, Lucca, Pisa and Venice. Some high lights...
Florence my favorite city.
They know steak.
and beer.
and how to keep old bikes in service. Like this 1975 Benelli Tornado.
I love seeing everybody's pictures. I'll post more later.
Yesterday was our anniversary and we had planned for a weekend getaway without the kiddos, but our bank account didn't agree, so we stayed home and visited one of the local attractions that we hadn't before - a polo game. Yep, up here, out in the middle of nowhere there's a beautiful polo field with a couple local teams and a few other teams that travel here to play.
We grabbed a few cold drinks, some sunscreen and some chairs and had ourselves a good time.

The man is a charmer, he's intelligent, handsome, kind, caring, Canadian, and has that certain something in his voice, hard to resist a man with the whole package going for him
I could have had an uber pic around noon today but it was raining when we left the pickup(horseback) and my camera is a puzz in the rain.
Moving cows up a big coulee with neat rock outcroppings at the top when 3 raghorn bull elk skirt the herd and stop sky-lining themselves about 400 yards away. Right above the angus, junipers and grass where lit up green from the sprinkle.
Just returned from a road trip back home to Utah. Great week spent with family and friends. Spent the majority of the time at my in-laws cabin on the Skyline.
Went out in the salt for a day of fishing with a buddy of mine and his cousin last weekend. Wife was a champion catcher of trash fish between bouts of chumming. Took me getting my lunch out to get the silvers to start biting. Mouthful of chicken works every time! Found a big school of black rockfish and loaded up on them tasty guys. The girls mooched up some salmon too. My baby boy is in there under that pink shirt. Trolling a little between locations.
